Let's make "shirt pocket" = jacket pocket as well.

Bags, such as purses and backpacks, just about always are used with the device in a case of some sort, which is one of the choices.
 
Well I use the holster/case from Verizon and sometimes I put it in my pocket and sometimes clip it on my pants.
 
Front left pants pocket when I'm out and about. If I'm in class/at home, it'll be sitting on the desk with me.

I'm similar.. I'm looking for "most of the time."

I seem to be relying on my left breast shirt pocket for this light device.
 
Front pocket.... Tried to use a body glove clip on my belt but felt it was too big. Kept the case but removed the clip.
 
This poll is sexist. Mine lives in my purse while we are out and when we are at home, it's always within a 2 foot radius at all times.
 
Last week I would have said my purse... but this week it's turned off and in a drawer. I'm back to my Blackberry Curve. I'm sure I will bring Eris back out - maybe when we get 2.1 OTA.

I considered "bag, purse, backpack," but left it out because it seems to me most who put it in such a place have it in a case too.

Sorry if it seemed different.
 
My eris once lived under 3ft of snow for 16 days and no worse for the ware. It was in a gore-tex coat.
 
Left pants pocket here as well. Actually took some adjustment, as I used to keep other stuff there too (smokes, lighter, Chap Stick sometimes), but now that's just the phone pocket (and receipts sometimes).
 
i use the bodyglove hard case and usually keep it in my back pocket. its the perfect size, one of the reasons i chose it of the moto droid.
 
pocket as of a few days ago cuz i got otter muter, now i got a wacky trackball from the far side of HELL. coincidence.... well thats for the devil to tell me.
 
Right pocket! What's with all the lefties? Left pocket is for the keys/change! Back right pocket is for the Wallet lol. Back right pocket is for the recipes/junk.

Besides that, desk and on the charger!

It's all good, I do actually have a Golla pouch, but never use it anymore. I have a special cell phone sized pocket on the inside of my purse, so that's where she goes.

I found the left pocket predominance odd myself, but being part of that subset, couldn't really comment. Right pocket is for keys (and now, everything else)! Wonder if handed-ness is a factor. I'm right-handed so the extra dexterity in fetching keys keeps them on the right, and thus, the phone goes left.
 
Phones are not accessories, so mine goes in my pocket. Belt clips are lame..especially when a woman wears one. But I'm sure some guys here use them. They probably also wear jean shorts.
