What about a microsoft tablet or even a laptop? Tbh Android is the only OS i have any kind of experience in but wouldnt there be a wider range of the type of weather software you use for windows desktop?
Although that doesnt solve you needing an internal cellular modem i suppose.

I would rather use iOS...:)

I have a 15" Macbook pro as my main machine right now. Its fantastic, though still a bit "off" because I have used windows for so many years. A laptop is just a bit too big to take with me everywhere. I rather have the space for a camera.

Last night I was swapping between:
The note 2 which took a dive a few times and usually does when it is on the charger where it slides often into a hand shredding location.
A go pro hero 1 camera.
A canon 5DmkII and 24-105mm f/4L IS lens on it
A canon vixia hf g10 late in the chase. The camera spends the most time in my lap for obvious reasons.

Actually, it is not about expanding the apps I need. I got basically everything I need on the android tablet or iOS. It is just the ability to multitask better and to be able to look at two things at once instead of flipping around. I could leave the radar on all the time and have GPS track me (my location is shown on a previous screen grab as a crosshair in a circle) while I can make calls and get twitter updates for other NWS news or anything else breaking.

The note 8 looks okay, but its botched out of the gate with cellular radios removed from it. And the price.

EDIT: looks like the screenshots from pykl3 did not save my position icon, just the radar image itself.

Then wait for the new nexus tab mate (does anyone think there WONT be a N7 upgrade. Hopefuly at a bargain price with 4g)
If you need it asap (especialy with the way the US carriers complicate everything) then i duno man

Wow lol remember the Market! I was on a phone with tiny memory when PlayStore was released so had to uninstall the update then freeze the market updater app.
Even once i got a better phone, i hated the "play store" name so renamed it Market and gave it the old icon :)
Gona try new app now. Cheerz lads :)

I am sure there will be a wait for the next nexus 7.... just like the nexus 4...

In other news, for some reason I cannot get the movie files off my vixia. They play just fine on the MBP from the camcorder but I cannot copy them to disc?

And, my CF card reader is MIA so I can't get to my stills or HD clips I shot with the 5D. Always something :rolleyes:
 
Lol video files is something i know zero about mate. Ive only got into using the T****** word in the past 6months.... MxPlayer for android is my friend... anything that doesnt play on Mx gets deleted lol :)
