Hey everyone! Well, I would have posted something sooner, but it took me all day just to catch up with you crazies! Looks like we've had ourselves a pretty incr..... nah... I think we've had enough puns for one day!

Awesome day all the way around!! :)

Looks like your buddy was right all along. We're almost there.:D

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I distinctly remember that if you opt for insurance with BB, you get BB's insurance program which is "new" replacement and zero deductible (or there's an option for that). With Verizon, it's a refurb and $50 deductible (or more?). Also, if you decide to return or swap the phone with Verizon, I'm pretty sure you have to ship it back (can't walk into a store with it) for online sales, whereas you can with BB. But BB may have a different return/exchange policy.

Are the insurance prices comparable?

Anyone think today was a pretty good day to be a member of the ***Official HTC Incredible Thread***???

Just my 2 cents, but i think today was pretty damn awesome...

What's a friendly neighborhood Guide to do these days but plan an incredible getogether/reunion...

Yeah it was nice and all, but I don't think it was worth the $150 you had me PayPal to you for my membership.

Everyone else did that too, right? Guys?

Oh how this thread has grown. I remember back when Anonimac was just a regular poster clawing his way up to Guide status. My one regret is lurking for as long as I did, before coming from the shadows.

It really has been a great adventure, and I just wanna say what a pleasure it has been discussing our future phone with all of you.

good day, with good people, and an incredible thread :)

Still looking for a little more input on my question...

Thanks

its being branded by VZW so it will come with VZW bloatware. only way to get rid of them is to root the phone. and it has not been rooted yet. when will we be able to root? when the dev community finds a weakness in the OS that will give them super user permissions. then they will cook up a rom and get rid of all the bloatware. how long does it take to root? i dont know. the eris still has not been rooted sucessfully. the only way they achieved root on the eris was because some disgruntled HTC employee sent them a rom with root already on there. hope this helps:p

hey did anyone notice that under Bluetooth technology it specifies

"Droid Incredible supports the following BT profiles: Mono and stereo headset (HSP), Hands"free (HFP), Stereo (A2DP), Phonebook Access (PBAP), Object Push Profile (OPP)"

...voice dialing?!?!?

Thanks for all your hard work Anon.

The idea of maybe being able to get a new phone instead of a refurbished (used) and possibly lemony (ain't never gonna work right) phone seems a very powerful incentive to go with BestBuy. Can anyone confirm this?

So would you be better off just paying the $7.99 for insurance through verizon, or does the best buy plan seem better?
Mobile Phones

no deductibles with the BB plan..... is a major plus

That sucks, what about the Nexus One? Will that be bloated with VZW as well?

Today is the CTIA that never happened for us! You guys that have been waiting on this phone since last year gotta be happy the wait is almost over. I've only been waiting a month or two I'll be happy to finally upgrade.

I can just buy online and avoid the 100 dollars too. I don't get the whole rebate thing, when they don't do that online. Whatever.

You would be amazed at the number of people who don't bother, get around, or forget to mail/send in the required documentation for their rebate..... $100 into the pocket of big red, thank you very much.
