Goodyear blimp--right over my house!

Ooooohhhhh, I want one! I haven't had a warning since I dared mention enabling root log ins on Ubuntu Forums.
No you don't! They have something like a "three strikes" rule, although they don't say precisely how many "strikes" you get before you get cut off. You don't want to start collecting bad marks...especially for fun! They're especially touchy about that.

"Don't taunt Happy Fun Ball."

So are you saying I shouldn't do one of my favorite tricks, which is circumventing a forum's built-in bad word censor, purely for the shock value and fun of it? :D

We've seen blimps around my area before, usually during the summer when there's a huge international youth soccer tournament, and sometimes for the racetrack (Saratoga is the summer place to be!).

The only other thing we got was the STS Enterprise and its 747. The Concorde once.
I did get pix of the Enterprise.
That's an awesome sight, isn't it? I got some great pics of the shuttle Endeavour as it did its flyover last fall; I was up at Griffith Observatory, so I got pics of it (on its 747, and with its fighter jet escorts) going over both the Observatory and the Hollywood Sign. Such an amazing experience.

You saw the Concorde? Wow. I always wanted to, but never did. I was surprised when they retired them. I mean, I know one crashed and everything, but until then the fleet had a spotless, multi-decade track record. Other types of planes crash but they don't end up being yanked.

Those aren't blimps. This are North Korean missiles (they figured out how to launch them, just not how to get them back to the ground).

Growing up in central FL I was fully involved with the space shuttle. Saw a few launches from "The Causeway", basically the closest you could get, thanks to my dad working at KSC. Also got to take the "employee" tour on family day one time. It was what caused me to become an Aerospace Engineer. I was one of three finalists that interviewed for the dream internship, a summer working in the orbiter processing center, basically climbing in and out if the real thing. Didn't get it though. I miss those launches, for sure.

Sounds like fun, especially the employee tour. :)

One of my favorite memories from when we lived in Florida was driving across state (we lived in the Tampa/Clearwater area) on motorcycles and visiting KSC. Ah, youth. :D

Said by someone that knows apparently. Having lived in the area all my life would you believe I've never made it there for a giveaway day?

I actually only have one piece of giveaway swag, we went as a work lunch/field trip a few years back. I have the Sam the Bugler bobblehead.
If I do go up there I try to avoid giveaway days, too crowded and all those people annoy me :)
