lol i dont remember what was confirmed for that if confirmed at all ..but i did read on some other site this morning it was coming with a 8g....

i read that too like a day ago, but now all we know for sure is that its gonna have 8gb of internal storage...and noone said anything about a micro sd card coming with it...haha, im so friggin confused

Nah no coincidence to the shop, I might add I'm north of you in Sacto. You know, one would think BBM would be close to us, I mean after all we are right on top of silicon valley but then theres apple, and the droid folks R lining up to put a jolley-stomp on them, and BB is lending a helping hand. Maybe apple new this revolution was on its way, I don't know, food 4 thought.

i also have another question...is the incredible going to be verizon's next flagship phone, since the say a new chapter in the droid saga....or is the droid still going to be their flagship phone

Almost all of the reports state the 8GB onboard storage is for music, pics and video. I assume that is true and it's only 512mb for Apps or are they all wrong or is it unknown? I tried searching but the phrase "8gb of onboard storage is for apps" didn't come up :D

I have just called 1-888-bestbuy and it is confirmed that they are do a Pre-Sale meaning buy and take home not pre order. so yes you can get the phone on the 19th :) and will also go to any best buy with a mobile department hope this helps everyone :)

(buzzer sound) no way.

Tfawn: Verizon has been issuing debit rebate cards for about the last year or so. When u get it in the mail you can go online and have the funds transferred into your bank account. Or you can use the card like a debit until there is no balance. A lil annoying but that's how it is now...

the rebate hassle isnt worth a couple of extra hours, i can wait for the fedex guy. FWIW returning a phone that you bought online is easier than going into the store. Free shipping, no hassle. Not that this phone will be going back!

Isn't layaway back in fashion?? Can I go to Verizon and put $50 down on my new phone? j/k

I'm crossing my fingers that my 'rep friend' will 'take care of it' without getting himself into any trouble.

I'm in the same boat as you but I have no friends :(

I'm still waiting for 500 of you fine people to send me $1 :D

Hi guys I just got home from work. I have only posted 2 or 3 times cause I mostly read but been waiting for Verizon to come out with something this size since the iPhone. Girlfriend has the droid and its bad ass.

I work at best buy and if you look at my couple of posts I have been dead on.

My theory unless there is a secret shipment or something I don't know about but I could be wrong here is the schedule I have been given

Pre orders start 18th.

25th we receive shipment and goes in that Sundays best buy mobile buyers guide.

Night of 25th goes on display with sign saying available 29th and will also be in 29th's best buy ad.

Sorry but don't know how we can sell it if we dont stock it till 25th. Hope this helps sorry to be the barrier of bad news

Any chance you know if there will be a special pricing on it?

I looked at the system last night when I was at work and it didn't mention anything about special pricing. BBY tends to keep some things quiet too just like Verizon. It is very hard for us to find out pricing ahead of time. Hope this helps.

To everyone interested in switching to a 1-year contract for the Incredible:

I just called VZW and he said I would retain my existing NE2 credit for this purchase, I just wouldn't be eligible for the NE2 again in the future.

So for me (who still has a $100 NE2 credit), assuming the phone is like $369 1-year price, it'd be 369-100(instant online rebate)-100 (NE2)=$169.

Thought this was nice to pass along for people who want to switch to 1-year (A VERY GOOD IDEA TO CONSIDER SINCE THERE WILL LIKELY BE LTE PHONES NEXT YEAR!!!)

Why would you do the 1 year, so you can get a new phone when LTE comes out?, by the way like the new ions on the forum.

Not sure about exactly when the contract extends but I'm guessing it's when you activate the phone. I was nervous too the first time I bought online from VZW but really, it couldn't be easier. You don't have to go into the store at all. I don't remember the exact procedure but I think you basically dial *228 option 1 and it programs the phone OTA. There may be a few additional steps but it's simple. You can always call customer service if you want them to walk through it with you but literally, you should be able to have it all activated within a very short time of getting it. Again, no store trips necessary. :)

OK, here's the activation url: Activate Your Phone Looks like you need the new phone, the ESN/MEID, the order number (of the online order you placed), last 4 digits of the social security number on the account. Enter the info, then do the OTA programming, and you should be good to go. :)

I've activated/changed phones online a few times it's easy and quick.

People need to go read Kappy's INCREDIBLE BATTERY thread.

I know everyone is excited but as soon as you get your phone you should turn it off and charge it fully before ever turning it on and doing anything.

Absolution,

So you're saying if you have a NE2 contract now and go to get the incredible and switch to a 1 year contract you can get your ($50 or $100) off based on the plan you have AND get the phone at the 1 year contract price?
