Help I Love my new..old Bionic

But, the past several days it has been lagging bad. Sometimes it takes 30- 60 seconds after I hit search. It has 1-2 bars on signal strength and I've cleaned the cache, rebooted and nothing. Is there anything else I can check? I only have a few days before my 14 days are up. The few times it doesn't lag, it's very fast. Something is wrong!

Thanks for any help.

Have you tried uninstalling any newer apps you may have installed since you noticed the lag?

I only had a few and uninstalled them. I kept Pandora, Tunein radio, smart voice recorder, gas buddy, so I will see. Thanks!

Hope it works. It's the only thing I can think of. If that doesnt work, may as well try and FDR.

Do you have the latest OS update installed?
Sounds crazy, but I occasionally hear rumours of Bionic owners still running Gingerbread.

Thanks that helped some but it is still lagging and when I go to make a call -even showing good signal strength, it says no connection and a few seconds to a minute I get connected.

I would install ICS. There was improvements with 4G and data that were included with that update. If you ever have any interest in ever rooting your device, I would not reccomend taking JB as of yet until you read up on how to maintain root through the update process.

How would I go about installing the ICS? Will I have to wait until it comes to my area?

Since you are in GB gob to settings and scroll down to the bottom and select about phone then click check for updates. You should get a prompt for ICS 6.7.246 to install.

Thanks OutOfPhase, I did as you suggested and they didn't give me the 6.7.246 but rather the 5.9.905 and still have the 2.3.4 version...what ever this means.

Ok that means you are really behind. take the 5.9.905 let it install then check for update again and you should now be offered 6.7.246
