Help Cracked screen

i dont think they will fix it. The insurance doesn't cover cracked screens either. You'll have to pay to get it fixed

best bet would be to contact them, but as far as i know the warranty only covers factory hardware issues. you can look around in yrou area to see if there are any cellphone repair shops. I'm surprised the screen cracked, Gorilla glass is pretty durable. :(

Me too it's not bad but obviously I want to make sure my wife has a good phone with a good clean screen I have a buddy who works at radio shack who says he does them at work.

Warrenties NEVER cover broken screens. Only hardware issues. Think about it like a car....if your motor blows up driving off the lot, the warrenty covers it. If you wreck it driving off the lot, your insurance covers it.

Your analogy works right up until...

Break the glass in your car, your insurance covers it.

Break the glass in your phone and your insurance Won't cover it.

If you have full coverage insurance lol. Metro insurance is state min at best haha. Plus if you call your insurance company and say "I broke my glass on my driver door from slamming it"...with out full coverage, they tell you to piss off.

none of the phone insurances cover cracked screens.

Durable doesn't mean unbreakable. YES gorilla glass screens can/will break when dropped.

Phone insurance is ALL through the same company...Assurance (spelling to be debated later). It works in tiers. The more expensive the phone, the more the deposit will cost you.

If you shatter your screen, the insurance company will take your deposit money and send you a new phone. Hands down. If they say no, claim it lost....

I know who it's through. I've had to use them in the past, what i was meaning is, what ever provider you are with when you get the insurance they doesn't cover cracked screens. If you go to their website it says they don't cover cracked screens.

I've cracked screens and gotten replacements with asurion more then once.

I don't know how you did that. they clearly state they do not replace cracked screens. Or do you mean they replaced the entire phone?

if so that's not what I was talking about. the question was about replacing a cracked screen.

Asurion covers cracked screens. They do. I know they do because I've worked sales for more than one cell provider including Metro.

doesn't say cracked screens. Could be that they changed their coverage since they charge more now. It's been about two years since i had to deal with them

No it doesn't say cracked screen. Judging by the text it does say you can drop kick the phone, hit it with a hammer, piss on it...then throw it away and they will replace it.

I've been middle man for claims before sense I worked at a Warranty Center for metro (closest thing you get to corporate stores in my area), and been the one to decide if its Insurance coverage, warranty, or GTFO.

I'm not trying to debate a point that I fully understand, and have background in. I'm trying to help the op by not having him waste him time. Also posting my knowledge on this subject because I can give "behind the enemies line" answers.

INSURANCE COVERS EVERYTHING.

Like you said it depends on the person who decides if it is covered or not. Some of those metro guys don't know crap. LoL

Metro no longer processes insurance claims, you go to the website or call 1-800....the store will hand you a brochure and tell you to GTFO.
