Help Galaxy Nexus hotspot with WiFi printer

We're trying to connect an Epson NX350 WiFi printer to our Galaxy Nexus which is operating as a WiFi hotspot, with no initial success. The connect operation fails with a message "A router/access point channel conflict has been detected". We have the following Qs:

1. Does anyone know a way to make a Galaxy Nexus and an Epson NX350 work togther?
2. Has anyone had success using a different WiFi printer with a Galaxy Nexus?
3. Does anyone if a Galaxy Nexus can/can't operate with a WiFi network printer?

If you can connect your printer to a computer with chrome on it:

Google - Cloud Print

That is how I print using my Galaxy Nexus.

I believe you can also print to PDF via google drive and then pull the doc from drive via a tablet or computer connected to the printer
 
gtbarry, thank you for replying, but our objective is to print via the WiFi network (as we can using our home router) rather than using internet resources.

If you use your Galaxy Nexus as your Wi-fi hotspot you will use your plans data (unless you are on a grandfathered unlimited data plan).

Since you are at home, why not install a wireless router?

So you are using your Galaxy Nexus as your home internet?

I was not referring to a MiFi Box, just a plain old wireless router like the Netgear N600 for example. Makes things so much easier around the house. :)
 
We're on the road in our RV. The Galaxy Nexus uses Verizon Wireless for its access, at home the Actiontec router uses Verizon telco DSL.

I think the hotspot feature of either a phone or MiFi device are designed to share the consumption of Internet with several users such a tablets and computers, and I've never seen any usage scenario where a printer can become a shared resource on such a hotspot. In fact, I've not seen where the users can even see each other over a Nexus or MiFi hotspot.

You'll need use a WiFi bridge router to connect to your Nexus as the Internet provider, then connect your devices to the WiFi bridge to be able to see the Internet as well as the printer. This is the solution that has been proposed by many others, you can search on Google with "connect a wireless router to a mifi hotspot" to see various articles on how to do it.
 
Thank you for this info. I'll look into this as soon as some other stuff gets taken care of. If anyone has had success using a WiFi bridge in front of an Android smartphone WiFi hotspot, please post details of this system.
 
GNex is my home internet too, cant get any other high speed internet where I'm at, but have 4G w/ verizon (I'll be paying full price for a new device to keep it too, if I have to)... I can access my wifi printer while tethered (printing from my laptop), but haven't been able to print from the GNex. I think it is supposed to be able to, but didn't figure it out.
