Is that you?!?!?!?!?

I don't think this is quite what Kappy was talking about. He was asking about BT in particular and what you posted is still reliant on Wifi. Video pushing via Wifi would be great, but I don't think it will be a reality on the Incredible for two main reasons:

1. They want to sell AV cables. Wireless transmission = no need for AV cables.

2. The Incredible only has b/g wireless. If you notice, on the bottom of the page you posted they are selling wireless n routers. To my knowledge, you really need wireless n to be able to stream full 720p over wifi simply because of the huge amount of data being transmitted.

Just my $.02

G supports 54 Mbps, There is no way in hell this phone will be able to record in over 10Mbps 720p. You will guaranteed not have a bottleneck from G for streaming recorded HD video from an Incredible's recording.

I mean, look at the PS3 and Xbox360 being able to stream compressed 720P over the internet from Netflix which they only require like 6Mbps downlink i believe.

seriously? are you being serious or funny here?

The post count shows your current post count even if that particular post is old. If you went back to his first post it would have said 1999, well, now 2000.

It will always show his CURRENT post count, not which number it was when he posted it, so when he has 2999 posts total, that's what it will show on all posts, even his first post ever.

It's simply a running total on the left hand side which is more of a profile area.

Yes, Thanks everybody. I realized as soon as I posted what was going on. I was up really late last night, Really! I am not blonde! LOL :D

You know, here is another thing I haven't seen anyone mention, and why I don't think the concept is particularly viable yet...courtesy of wikipedia:

"...a 32 GB CompactFlash card is good for 72 minutes of HDV video"

Seems like a decent amount, until you factor in music, photos, other multi-media that most folks keep on their phones all the time. Just more food for thought.

Edit*- link: HDV - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That looks like it is using the bit rate Blu-Rays use as an example. We are talking about a phone camera, not anything close to shooting Blu-Ray quality.

so its nice to be a Best Buy silver rewards member. I just got a bunch of coupons and one of them was for 1000 bonus points if you activate a smartphone with Best Buy. But the coupon expires on the 4/25 prior to the release of the phone and I told her I would pre-order it on 4/18 and she said that if I dont get the 1000 points ($20 rewards check for Best Buy) that they would still give it to me since she doesn't know and noted my account that they would do it

I got some BB questions.

1. Can BB port my phone number from Sprint to Verizon?
2. Can I do a 1-year Verizon contract at BB?
3. Can I buy the Verizon Total Equipment Coverage at BB?

If I write up a sale at my company, we call it a sales ORDER. The person takes their products home that day.

Do you work at BB Mobile? No? Then I guess it doesn't MATTER what your company calls them.

I can't believe people are still trying so hard to make this mean what THEY want it to mean..................

Currently I have a Sprint Hero with Sense UI. I have Voice Mail on the phone and is not paying anything extra for it.

1. Will the Droid Incredible have the same Voice Mail?
2. Is Voice Mail part of Sense UI? part of Android? Carrier option?
3. Is Voce Mail the same as Visual Voice Mail?
4. To get Voice Mail on the Incredible, will I have to purchase it?

Could very well be right...the article mentions 1080p, but mostly refers to 720p and 1080i as HDV...it doesn't make the distinction for required storage/time ratio. My apologies if this is inaccurate.

I use Google voice on a Curve. It is a Google function. Free.

I'm eligible for my upgrade, but have 2 questions:

1) Anyone know if we'll be able to use the discount when pre-ordering at Verizon?

2) If we pre-order at Best Buy or buy day of, will they honor the upgrade discounts (so I can still get it but not have to wait for the rebate)?

Thanks!

I'm actually fairly excited about the TV Out feature. My Zune has the same thing and it hooks right up to the head unit in my car so I can watch stuff on that.

When I sign into MyVerizon it says I am eligible.. but that was before the new upgrade to the website. Now I have no idea where it went. Try contacting Verizon, I did and they walked me through where to upgrade was..

Edit go into phone details, upgrade now.. but no idea how it will work with pre-order

I think you might be confused here. I know where that is your looking at. You are 4 months from your contract end date so you are eligible for an upgrade on NE2. Which on NE2 you are eligible 20 months in.

I have 5 months till 10/05/2010 which is my 20 months in my contact end date is 2/05/2011 so I'm not eligible for anything till 10/05/2010 :(

Yes to both. At least that's what BBM told me this morning here in Spartanburg SC.

1. Can BB port my phone number from Sprint to Verizon?

3. Can I buy the Verizon Total Equipment Coverage at BB?

1. Yes
2. No someone posted they only do 2yr contracts
3. No but after you buy you can call VZW and add it.

Currently I have a Sprint Hero with Sense UI. I have Voice Mail on the phone and is not paying anything extra for it.

4. To get Voice Mail on the Incredible, will I have to purchase it?

1. You will have your regular voice mail (not visual) that VZW offers on all phones for free where it gives you a notification and you call in to listen.
2. Voice Mail as stated in #1 is part of the carrier.
3. Standard Voice Mail is where you call in. Visual Voice Mail is an app and the voice mail is downloaded to your phone where you can listen.
4. VZW charges 2.99 a month for Visual Voice Mail.

I've been thinking BB was the way to go for this but then I realized I have a 15% discount on VZ on my bill and more on access. How does that work? Is everything the same or does the fact I used BB eliminate that discount?

my contact - works in VZ corp training - says she'll have phone on Monday and I can come and play w/ it. I'm sure we'll have more pics/vids before then, but if not I will take as many as my omnia and winmo 6.5 can handle!!
