Hey it's more fun to do this then to actually WORK!.... What they think I'm gonna work on a Fri at 2PM, silly corporate.

Yeah, I do not want to bash him he seems nice enough. But when he said he feels like a fortune teller or psychic I have to agree. He is vague, he says just enough broad statements to keep you hooked. I am not bashing him I just wish he would kick his source in the boys and say "SPILL THE BEANS BEFORE I CRUSH YOURS!" Sorry to much coffee today mixed with no EVO news! :(

Ha, that got a good laugh out of me. :)

But seriously - the inside guys get bits and pieces, but to rely on them (count on them) for hard deadlines like some people have been doing isn't the wisest.
 
Just exchanged email w/ a friend at the Sprint campus and asked him if anything was happening today, as in an announcement or any info about the EVO and said he is not aware of anything scheduled for today. His team has been working w/ the EVO and I was told it had 2.1 on their test unit but the production units will have an upgraded android os.

If you have a Palm Pre that is linked to you FB account you can see the correct time... it is 2PM Pacific... I'm in Central Time Zone so my calendar on my Pre shows the end time as 4PM. Hope this helps...

That was a curious post by Lucan a while back. For it to be at all meaningful l we need to know at least a couple of other things. First, how was the phone introduced to the class? And second, what were mobile devices used by the particular individuals who laughed. My guess is that were iphone/ touch users. In that case, the response would be understandable. That would be like holding up a bottle of Prozac in front of a group of Scientologists.

capthr, you are correct... I can see the event on my Palm Pre calendar (at least it's good for something, eh) and the end time is 4pm Central... which happens to be 2pm Pacific and 5pm Eastern... so it's about 1hr and 49min to go...
 
Here's some news about AT&T blocking any employees vacation requests for June.

I have a feeling the June release dates are definite for the EVO, especially if they want to sell some EVO's to people before the new iPhone's release date.
New iPhone could come in June
 
i think its safe to say that nothing is happening. and if it is something, its probably something that we on this forum already know.
 
I have a meeting from 2:30MST to 3pm MST. If something DOES get announced, I will barely have time to look at it :(
 
i would take any morsel of information, even if its a single spec we didn't know about. announce accessories. anything! It makes no sense to create an official event starting from CTIA and having it end today at 2pm pacific if its nothing. Someone had to 'choose' that date. Why? If theres nothing, its a massive fail. It's not productive to mislead us. We are already whipped into a fervor for this phone without that. Its counterproductive.
 
I can't believe that they are holding us up like this. We really need info........ release date and price is all. Is that to much to ask for?!!?!?!?

Ugh, for me this is the Pre all over again! I don't have any problems with it, except the build is pretty crappy, but I just can't deny how awesome the EVO is and can't wait to get one. I was first in line for the Pre and I won't be ashamed to wait in line for the EVO! Please tell us something!
