Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

HTC can put two speakers on the front of their phone. Motorola can put a huge mAh battery in theirs. Yet no one else can do the same?

Right now I'm thinking S4. I like the HTC One or whatever Verizon will call it, but since you can't replace the battery I doubt I'll get it? If the only thing Google I/O offers is a Nexus 4 with LTE(Verizon) then I'll pass. Still no word on a Nexus 5 for this year. Unless they make it without a glass back. Still waiting on word about Moto X. Hopefully it is what I'm looking for.
 
I can't believe that putting two speakers on the front hasn't become popular until now. It seems so obvious, especially for tablets.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier.....was up there for a scrapbook convention in Manchester NH. Wasn't a bad ride at all. Wish I had a vehicle of my own there to do some exploring.



I'm finally able to catch up on things today - it was weird not checking in but I didn't have time during the day and by the time I did I was so tired I could barely see.
But i'm all rested now and back to the normal day to day stuff.
Hope everyone is having a good Monday (if that's even possible). :D
 
Since I'm getting my oldest niece a laptop I figured I might as experience Windows 8. I went to BestBuy and played around with it a little. It took me about 5 minutes, if that, to figure it out. I didn't think it was bad as what I read on reviews about it.

Two nights in a row of basketball for two hours with non-basketball shoes at the gym after 30 minutes on the elliptical. Since I quit Starbucks in Feb I've gained 30lbs (read: I lived on coffee, not food). Now that I eat like a normal person my body is holding onto everything. Crazy what you find out about your body after living on caffeine for 12hrs a day.

Oy, JMar what a pain. I had heard about people who quit smoking would gain weight. Didn't know caffeine withdrawal had the same effect. At least you're active. Hang in there! Let me guess, like me, you like little chocolate donuts? :smokingsomb:

I'm with you ATM thinking about the S4 Halon. Still enjoying the GNex, but I have an upgrade available that's burning a hole in my pocket...

How's everyone doing? Sitting in the other side of the world again eating breakfast while most people in the US are getting ready for bed. (Thank goodness I've matured enough not to make a joke about BB and getting ready for bed.)

Maybe it sounds exotic, but flying over head Baghdad and skirting Iran to land at 1am in a foreign country isn't a picnic. On the plus side after eating breakfast I do get to enjoy sleeping during the day to rest up for my midnight departure tonight. :)

I could also mention another plus is that I can buy lots of Viagra here without a prescription, but that would lead to another NSFW joke that I'm now too mature to make...

I've read that a version has already been rooted. If the Verizon version can be rooted, and I can upgrade one of my dumb phone lines to the S4 so I don't lose my unlimited data, I might be tempted...
