Just to clear things up, im looking at my prices for phones once logged into my VZW. Everyone reporting a $70 difference in prices im not seeing.
Droid is $199 for 2 yr and $229 for 1 yr
Devour is $149 for 2 yr and $179 for 1 yr
Touch Pro 2 is $189 for 2 yr and $219 for 1 yr
My contract expires in May so maybe thats why? Im not on my early upgrade anymore as that was Jan 15th. Thoughts?

what is it that is making the one year contract look sweet? Just that it will be available with a one year contract? That isnt the price for a one year contract.

I'm asleep at the switch I guess. For what ever reason I must have missed with the Incredible went from accepting 32GB cards to ONLY 16GB cards. 
Not pleased about that. NOW I have to sort through my stupid iTunes music again and only put on a portion of it on my phone. An extra 16GB would have been nice.

just got back from bestbuy from purchasing a gaming headset, but while I was there I happened to speak to one of the store managers that was in the cell phone department, he looked up the incredible for me on the store computer, this is how the following conversation took place:
manager: Says we are receiving the phone on the 25th
me:So will you be able to sell it or will it just be in your inventory?
manager:we will be able to sell it
me:can I use my any 2 credit to buy the phone here?
manager: what is any 2? oh is that the credit towards a phone?
me:yes
manager:yes you can but I dont have any pricing yet but we are getting it on the 25th of april. Our prices should be very similar to the prices verizon is offering with a 2 year contract.
just thought I would give you guys a heads up so that others can check on this in their area and confirm what I was told.
Again I talked to a store manager(not the GM) lets see if we can get anymore confirmation on this. Thanks to whoever can also confirm this.
BTW i am in the denver/boulder area of colorado

I wouldn't count on it. He probably just doesn't know what the situation is. That will likely change by the time the shipment comes.
On the other hand, I wouldn't doubt that some of these will be mistakenly sold early some places.
Just don't count on them keeping their word at this point because further instructions will reach them with the shipment.

question for you..what do you use to convert the apple songs to play on the memory card?
and what to use for videos? cause i have alot of south park vids i want on the incredible can anyone help me on coverting those??

OK folks, so I am not sure if someone has spoken about this or not, but I didn't notice it in my skimming of pages.
A lot of people say they want to preorder the phone at best buy, but will be driving a long distance to a best buy mobile store to order it. I know the website says that you can only order it at a BB mobile store and shows you a map of those stores.
I spoke to the mobile department in a regular Best Buy store here in Virginia (not a BB mobile store) and they said they will be preordering on Sunday. So before anyone drives anywhere or thinks that they can not preorder it from their local best buy store, please go and ask the store, because you may be able to do it.
I hope this helps some people, just wanted to let you all know!

I doubt they will be able to sell it on the 25th... He just doesnt have all the info yet. I know lots of Best Buy managers from store GM's to District to head guys at corporate. I just talked to a manager at Best Buy today (he was also trying to sell me an elk hunt for four in Colorado at our Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation banquet) and he said that we all know more about the phone/details/release dates then what they have been told. The manager you talked to probably just looked it up on there inventory and saw they where getting it the 25th and assumed they could sell it that date. As the date comes closer they will know more. It is like a new release DVD they get them on there truck that weekend but cant start selling them till the following tuesday

I called two Best Buy's today to see what I could find out, and kept getting passed around to different people.
NONE of them had even heard of the incredible!
I finally got a manager that looked it up in their system and she said they will be taking orders for it on Sunday, but she has no idea when they will be in stock.
I can't believe they haven't had any type of training, info, nothing.

Why after so many bit of mis-information do people still take every tidbit as gospel?! Most likely it still takes 32gb.

We all may want to check back as the date gets closer.
The gal and her manager I was talking to today at BB said they didn't think they could honor the NE2, but call them the Monday before release day, when they'll have more definitive info.
One advantage of buying directly from Verizon, depending on your account status, is that they can put the cost of the phone, up to a certain amount, based on your account, on your next VZW bill, so you don't have to pony up right then, like you will have to do at BB and other independent retailers.

Having a lot of experience with case mods and custom paint jobs, I would make the subtle suggestion that instead of auto-body paint you get your hands on some black vinyl dye. Vinyl dyes are designed to be absorbed by plastic while they cure instead of forming a skin on it like normal paints.

I can. How many Verizon people have had training on it yet? Other then there CSR's? Best Buy will get plenty of training opportunities in the up comming weeks to learn about the phone. I say opportunities because I know many of them will probably not sit down and do there "E learnings" or "Learning Centers" or what ever they call them now before the phone comes out. I know when I worked there I never took a single learning deal they sent out because I never had the time to take them and Basicly learned about the unit once we got them (basicly playing with the device because I got a Discount and thought I needed everything we sold)

Yeah, I think if there's one thing we're finding out now, is that BB is at least as inconsistent in the info they're giving out to the public right now, and even putting on their website.
