Root [Boost Mobile] Picture messages

So I take a pic with my warp. When I view it in quick pic its nice and clear. When I send that picture through a text message is converts it to a smaller size which is still clear. When I clikx on the pic I sent it enlarges it but it gets blurry why is this? When the pic enlarges its the same size as the screen and the same size and the quick pic I had taken.... is there something I gotta do?

Are you using a messaging app like GoSMS?

No well i dont know. .whatever messaging is in ctmod 3.80 rom

So no its the regular messaging system but do u have a recomendation on a messaging app if this will help?

OK I installed handcent SMS and just so everyone knows...... the pics are clear again!!!!

Good to hear, I think the AOSP messaging apk in most of the roms here reduce the quality of the image so it'll send faster or something. CTmod uses the AOSP mms

All images over 1MB or so that are sent via the stock MMS.APK get scaled down resolution-wise to avoid over-burdening the network. Some third-party apps don't have this limitation, and for Warp OEM I modded the stock MMS to handle pictures up to 8MB. Of course sending something that big takes a while, but it can be done.
