Zagg has their invisible shield for the screen available now!

Do you think ZAGG will be able to make a urethane skin to cover the back and sides (like they have for ipod, etc.)? That contour might make it hard to design.

so who's going to be on verizons website at 12:01 am tonight since the website says the 19th, but the email you get when you sign up now says the 18th for preorders... i'll be checkin!:D

still expecting it to be Monday, but might as well check it out!

I keep bouncing between Verizon Online and BB pre-order. I love to get it at Verizon, but I can't take of for work. So I think I will do the BB pre-order and then when I pick it up, go online to Verizon and add the insurance, employee discount and visual voice mail.

because if you dont have insurance and u mess up your phone you will have to buy the phone retail

insuarance is for people who dont know how to take care of their stuff. case in point, my wife has had her moto droid since christmas, its beat to hell cause all she does is throw it in her purse along with everything else. now she love the phone, she just doesent take very good care of it. if it didnt have the hard case and screen protector it probably wont be working at all right now. then theres people like me who take care of there stuff, i still have my LG chocolate from when it was first launched. still has the original plastic screen protector on it and barely a scratch on the body. :p

now i just hope i nothing happens this phone cause that would suck having to pay retail for the phone if i lost it or it got destroyed.:(

Just an FYI, you can get the Verizon Insurance at Best Buy when you purchase the phone. This is what sold it for me. Plus, your BB might be doing pre orders already, mine was. :)

Not always. I had the Chocolate for all of 3 months when the screen cracked. I was EXTREMELY careful with that phone. I don't know what happened. But I looked at my phone, put it in my pocket, and the next time I pulled it out it was cracked. Accidents happen. I'd rather be prepared.

it's like having auto insurance. Most likely, you won't need it..but in case something happens, it's good to have.

hm how do you transfer your contacts from say a Blackberry (Storm) to the incredible? I want to sell my phone on ebay but need to make sure I can get all of my contacts off first

Can these screen protectors be gotten locally? or do we have to order on line?

Would this be considered the best protection and fit for these phones?

There are booths in some malls but they have limited stock and may not have the Droid Incredible skins yet.

I would say Zagg or another brand that makes these types of screens are the best. I have one for my EnV2 and have no scratches.

if you have semi tight pants and crouch or bend or even sit with it in your front pocket, the pressure can crack the screen. this happened with my BB storm and really pissed me off.

The fact they only have the screen protection available tells me they are either working on the back of the phone or they may not have it available.

Only time will tell.

You can back up your contacts on the VZW website for free. There are probably other ways to do but it was the easiest way for me since I have a dumbphone.

If you have a gmail address already, you can get google sync for blackberry and sync your contacts from your phone to your gmail account. When you get the Inc you'll need the gmail anyways and it'll sync the conts from there.

How do these screens affect the "touch" response of the phone?

looks like it covers the whole front, affect on the buttons?

I admit, my only experience with protectors was on my sch-i760, which was WinMo with a stylus, and it was a cheap generic thing. It worked ok, but I could definitely tell it was there.

Do you guys think this would affect the sensitivity of the touch screen?

Yeah, that's what I have been thinking. Maybe even a detailing black paint pen. Something that won't put paint in places where you obviously wouldn't want it, like a speaker or a microphone.
Yeah, Nash, I've used the Testers brand paint pens and they work really well. I've used both black and silver ones for various things and the paint goes on really well. The one thing to keep in mind is after you shake it and press the tip down to get the paint started, you'll want to put some down on newspaper or something first, because when the paint first starts to draw down the flow might be a bit more than you'll want for that grill.

I had some fun with the BB ppl yesterday, I picked up all the smart phones and used every adjective but incredible to describe it and finished each sentence with "but I want something that's just incredible.".It was so annoying they brought out some literature on the actual beast. Pretty stupid but I was board.
Can you take and post some pics of the literature, please. :)

Lots of thanks for this. It explains a lot and gives me hope that we'll see support for 32gb cards in this phone after the update.
I think the gist of that article is that the phones all support them now, they just can't format them until Google issues an update. All you have to do is put the card in a computer and format it with Fat32 and then the phone will be able to use it. :)

I imagine they will make a full body shield for the Incredible. The back will just be in like 4 or 5 pieces ... One piece for every step, it won't be one big piece that folds over the steps of the back cover. That's my guess anyway.

I currently have an Invisible Shield on my LG Dare screen, and I don't think it affects the touch sensitivity; at least not enough so that I notice it.
