Help Transferred photos in wrong order

Hi all,

Received my Note 2 yesterday! I've moved from a galaxy s2. I use a mac (so thats where my problems started lol!).

So, an utter faff around trying to get all my pictures and videos (over a thousand) from the S2 to the N2. I brought a new memory card and copied everything over and installed the memory card in the s2.

Problem is, all the photos are not in any order like they were on the s2. Things should be sorted by filename right, which is the time the pic was taken?

New photos ive taken for instagram have ended up somewhere in the middle of my 200 instagram pictures. Its annoying!

Any way of correcting this without now working out what order stuff should be in and doing everything manually by changing pictures names?

Copying a file will always change its time and date stamps.

Since when?

The file name doesn't change which is how they should be.

To the OP, are you sure you copied from one card to the other and not from one card to the phones internal storage?

Hi, thanks for the replies.
I copied internal memory of s2 to my mac, then copied the files in the same structure without changes to an sd card which went in the note 2.

When I copy files from my note 2 to my laptop, they always take today's date.
