VOTE FOR PHANDROID

C'mon people, we have been here too long and worked too hard to get upstaged by those AC goons now! Let's go! ***Vote, F5, Vote, F5, Vote, F5...***:D

We keep falling behind! Vote vote vote. Most people have multiple computers and phones with internet. Vote with them all. Vote at school, vote at work, get everyone to vote.

Phandroid has been the leader in providing news on this phone specially, and deserves credit. So vote!

I have one more question. When I port my number from Sprint to Verizon, will my account on Sprint automatically be canceled?

as soon as you activate the new verizon phone (implying that you keep the same number from sprint) it will cancel the sprint service. In other words, you can pre order the incredible using ur sprint number, get the phone, and even wait up to ten days before activating the phone...that way ur sprint service will continue until u activate it

My contract isn't up. My 2 year date is November, my NE2 date is July, but I'm eligible for my annual upgrade (with 20.00 upgrade fee) now. this is where I thought I read that VZ will not pre order for me. Hope I'm wrong

Crimton Just confirmed that we can Pre-Order on the 19th and get it with the Annual Upgrade 2 year pricing +$20 Upgrade fee. But it should be available for us to be shipped or picked up on the 29th.

Thanks Crimton :D

BIG QUESTION:

Alright so... I am eligible for my NE2 currently (Have been since 2/28/09), so my pricing on this phone will be $199 w/rebate of course. BUT... My mom has two $50 rebate cards from when she and my sister upgraded. Can I use both of them online to push my pricing down to $99?

Or... Are the Best Buy rebates instant in-store (I know Verizon's aren't, so if I used both rebate cards in the store it still would only be $199)? If so, wouldn't it be smarter to upgrade there and then use both rebate cards?

Just trying to get my initial cost as low as possible.

i just preordered the inc. in a best buy with a best buy mobile in addison, il. i will be able to pick it up on the 25th!

I'm surprised no one has responded to this yet. Is it bogus or legit?

I just talked to a VZW CSR that I know. Since they get some type of commission for even pre-orders, I was interested in some of my money going to someone I know instead of Corporate VZW.

Unfortunately when you pre-order through VZW, you pay for the phone upfront, all $300. Then you have to wait 1.5 weeks to get the package in hand to get the UPC to send in the MIR. The death knell for me is that there won't be any option to pick up the phone in a store.

I sure as hell ain't going to sit around all day reading this forum about how awesome it is while I'm waiting till 4pm for FedEx to show up. It kills me to have to go to BB at the expense of a friend, but this is the ONLY gadget I've ever been inclined to wait in line to get. I'm going to go to BB in the morning to pre-order, in the off chance that a dummy at the mobile counter accidentally sells me the phone instead.

For The Incredible ad on Testman, it says "Free Activation 4/16 - 4/19" Does anyone know what they mean by that?

I THINK, not 100% sure, but if you already have an account with verizon and preorder online, then activation is already free.
but if your new to verizon, you do have to get an activation fee since they have to setup your account.

Also, looking at the phones side by side..man the Incredible looks like the iPhone. The only reason I'm worried is that apple got a patent for the design, and could sue HTC for that design. I hope this doesn't happen. I dont see it happening since there are differences between the two. they are not exactly alike..just the curves.

There are only so many shapes for a phone design. A patent for the shape/curves of the phone would be far too broad and not allowed.

Oh, okay. You should call and ask, but when I've talked to them before (even though we all know that we could ask 5 different reps and potentially get 5 different answers), they said I could order a new phone, but I may not get the same price, and of course I wouldn't be able to use my NE2 discount, if I'm only going to re-up for another year. :(

The Incredible is now the first phone featured on the splash on the HTC.com home page. Has a link to the verizon pre-order page.

Just purchased an invisibleSHIELD for the Incredible after doing a Google search and finding a 20% off coupon. Here is a link to the invisibleSHIELD site

Where'd you get the 20% coupon?

The phone is already $199 after mail in rebate so a NE2 $100 discount should already push it down to $99 (what I was told). I am mailing my Droid back next week, waiting for the NE2 reset and ordering the Inc online again for $99 (already told that price).
