Sadly it looks to me like someone supporting AC is cheating. I voted literally 5 minutes ago and they were winning by 4 votes. Now they are winning by almost 100 votes. Really not cool.

so id thought i post my story here because honestly im still confused a little about it. i just got off the phone with a rep from my local store in corp store in florida and from what the rep told me i could come in on the 19th pre order it and i should be able to get it on the 21st!!!! which doesnt make sense to me because doesnt the phone come out on the 29th? how would i be able to get the phone before everyone eles? is the CSR just confused? and is trying to sell me on the pre order? or if i go into the store and pre order it will i not get it until the 29th? has anyone eles heard this story too?

BIG QUESTION:

Alright so... I am eligible for my NE2 currently (Have been since 2/28/09), so my pricing on this phone will be $199 w/rebate of course. BUT... My mom has two $50 rebate cards from when she and my sister upgraded. Can I use both of them online to push my pricing down to $99?

Or... Are the Best Buy rebates instant in-store (I know Verizon's aren't, so if I used both rebate cards in the store it still would only be $199)? If so, wouldn't it be smarter to upgrade there and then use both rebate cards?

Just trying to get my initial cost as low as possible.

Yes, best buys rebate is instant.

Not sure if this has been posted, but here is the 360 view of the phone:

HTC Incredible
Is anyone other I concerned that every pic we've seen to date of the phone's backside seems to clearly show the camera lens/housing assembly being the farthest protruding surface area?! That lens cover & housing look to be a definite contact point every time the phone laid down on its back! :( Seems like a bit of a design flaw IMHO.

Just purchased an invisibleSHIELD for the Incredible after doing a Google search and finding a 20% off coupon. Here is a link to the invisibleSHIELD site

i see it as being flush or slightly recessed....

best buy doesnt know their ass from a hole in the ground is what ive come to assume.

i just called one a few minutes ago and they said the phone wont be on SALE till the 24th..

i called another one they said it was the 29th which is what verizon says it will be.

the third place i called said it wont be out till sometime in may

the 4th said they didnt have inventory dates and they couldnt check

the 5th said they are taking orders tomorrow but wont sell them till 29th

the 6th said they are doing preorders tomorrow and it will be on sale the 24th..

so yeah its pointless asking these guys whats what. just assume the 29th no sooner

I'm hoping the "lens" in recessed a fair amount. My sch-i760 is the same way, but the metal ring protects it. I haven't been overly kind to it and I can't see anything resembling a scratch on the lens...

roflmao TWICE! What l4m3rz! Not a good sign. I guess I'll buy from Verizon then.

There are only so many shapes for a phone design. A patent for the shape/curves of the phone would be far too broad and not allowed.

Not to be argumentative, but look at the patents Apple is going after HTC for already. They're broad in a lot of cases, and ridiculous in others. It reminded me of the idea that if I had patented, "cellular talking device" in the past, I could draw licensing from every single one of these companies? I mean, they practically allow you to patent a vague idea! The slide to unlock action is on the list. Really?

Hey guys,

First time poster LOOOOOOOOOONG time lurker, just wanted to 110% Confirm ( for anyone that cares) ZAGG will have the Invisible shield available at launch of the HTC incredible.

Thought i would pass that along, sorry if this was already posted.

p.s. I do work for a certain "Yellow Tag" Retailer. lol:rolleyes:

Someone might be using a proxy like Anonymouse.org to hide his IP and vote multiple times. I haven't tried it, so I don't know if it would work, but that's what I'm betting on.

Apple is just trying really hard to impede Android's (as well as HTC's) success. They know they are winning market share and will soon surpass Apple easily. It already blew away WinMo and BB out of the water. Open source has always been programmer friendly allowing for a wider range of creativity from all sides.
