Do any of you think that there is a possibility Verizon will run out of Incredibles and not be able to meet the demand given the fact they haven't done anything to market it?

There has been, to my knowledge, no FCC pass through of an iphone fourth gen, so the FCC sticker on the back is false.

I say its a KIRF chinese knockoff like the Meizu M8 or a homebrew case for an existing iphone and a healthy dose of lies.

i personally think it's UGLY. the body size, shape, thickness looks like an old school ipod.

It would be cheaper to pay the early termination and get a new 2 yr. For smartphones the max early termination is $350. If you are a year into your contract it should be pro-rated somewhat. So figure like $ 150-200 to terminate and $199 for the new phone. I'm in the same boat. I called vzw and they told me it would cost me $100 to early terminate. My upgrade is up in October. I have a Vogue the last smartphone that does not require a data plan so I can early terminate for 100 bucks or keep my vogue active for 9.99/mo until my contract is up. I'd drop the data plan and add a line. The CSR even told me I could activate the incredible on my old phone's number so I could keep that the same number.

If you early terminate you lose your number and you can't sign back up I'm pretty sure tehre is a waiting period.

The CSR never told me that. I'd call them up and ask. I would imagine he would have told me about that when I specifically asked about early termination.

if you looked at the quote I was referring to, it was about the supposed Iphone 4g someone found... NOT ABOUT THE INCREDIBLE- the phone I plan on purchasing.

that's why i'm here, thanks. i don't even know how you could think i'd be talking about the incredible when comparing it to an old ipod...
 
For those close to contract expiration...
Why not get a new number [family plan $9.99] and keep both numbers till old contract expires. May be less than retail or termination fee.

I was updating my contacts into Gmail and then from Gmail back to my Dare. I just deleted ALL of my contacts from my Dare and was preparing to upload my updated contacts. Oh well, hopefully when they go live again, the Incredible will be listed.

I talked to a BB Mobile person yesterday and I asked them if it's possible the phones might come in earlier than the 29th. They said they couldn't sell before the release date of the 29th because there are "major fines for selling before release".

That doesn't mean BB couldn't have a midnight opening at select stores but I think it's VERY unlikely they sell before Verizon tells them they can, which is the 29th.

Well, BB pre-order is only in-store so unless you know a BB open at midnight I'd say you'll have to wait till opening. As for the 19th for VZW online - me, and i'll bet lots of other here will be furiously refreshing the VZW store page looking for the pre-order to come online and I hope it does at midnight. They want our money, we are ready to give it.
