Root A neat little wifi tether trick I found!

I use wifi tether for when I want to play games online, right? So I wanted to figure out how I could connect to my xbox over a wired connection (save $50 for the wireless adapter, on top of the $15 a month tether savings!:D). All I had to do was bridge my wireless and wired adapters on windows after tethering via wifi, and it transformed my wireless router into a repeated of the wifi tethered signal! :D It works perfectly! I don't know why this happens, since my wireless is actually set up to repeat my basement's router's signal, but when I bridge the two adapters on my desktop, it does this. This is my experience, haven't tried any other configurations, but it may work for you if you're interested!

Well, that wasn't exactly my point, This trick is no different from setting a wireless router (much cheaper than the adapter) into a client mode (dd-wrt firmware is best), but i'm telling everyone by my experience how to tether your phone's connection to your xbox, or ANY wired/non-wireless device you may need internet for, especially for those of us on satellite internet, that cannot always rely on it working (storms) or those who want to play games online with bearable pings (me) I have no other option, and this works for me.

So you turn on your router and configure it to spread your wifi signal so the xbox can connect? is that right?

I'm sure you could make any router into a repeater for it, but this was specifically through windows, bridging the wifi adapter and the wired adapter, which then shares to the switch/router connected wired to your computer, then to your xbox, and then you can even connect to the wireless router it's going through, which is much more powerful than your phone's wifi chip, likely. Connect to wifi -> Bridge wired and wireless
