should i stay up and try to be post #40000 or just go to sleep
think you might wanna sleep on it. we all know that the majority of us are staying up till at least midnight today to pre-order the phone. and on the 29th we are totally going to be awake for a few days straight, play some hooky from work, and do nothing but stare at our new phones. lol
You aren't alone. Some of us are stuck working 3rd shift.....

my shift is 6pm to 6am. I try to post and keep it alive but posting from my BB storm sucks
Why is everyone so freaked out about pre-order info? Ordering it at 12:01am on the 18th or 19th does not mean getting it any sooner. They are not going to run out. Go buy it in the store when it comes out, or buy it online by early afternoon on the 28th. Nobody knows about this phone. Even when the Droid came out, with all that hype, they didn't sell out, geez, there wasn't even a line that day... in busy MA location anyways.
Don't forget the 100 Dollars on instant rebate you get to hang onto, which can be used 4 the purchase of the party food at the Incredible celebration. lot 2 be said about pre-ordering (food 4 thought)
im on a family plan with 3 lines in which mine is not the primary and isnt eligible for upgrade. one of the other lines is eligible for upgrade however, so can i upgrade to the incredible on that line to get the NE2 price then switch the incredible to my line and my phone to the other line without incurring an ETF?
I called *611 this afternoon and was told that if you buy the phone through a verizon store the rebate is mail in but if you buy it online then it is an instant rebate. Can anybody confirm this being the case? The reason im asking is because most phones that you buy online from the verizon website give the rebate instantaneous just like best buy does in the store(also best buy confirmed to me that they do not accept the NE2 and will not price match it either)![]()
Yeah daveydog, of course, but ya know, early birds get the worm, and after all this waiting on verizon, to make the move on dropping this baby, now that it's our turn to do something early, pull the trigger..PS did ya think they might give the first 1000 people a free Incredible. Now dog you know thats a joke......But ya just never know (smile)instant rebate is the same no matter when you order. or were you kidding.![]()
I just got off the phone with a CSR @ vzw. She said that the Incredible is showing on thier system as in stock and there is nothing that says they cannot ship until a certain date. The 4-29-10 date is a date when "all channels" will be able to sell the device. So there is a possibility that customers who pre-order 4/19 could possibly have their phone by this Wednesday![]()
When I tried this on Friday, the second screen I was taken to had a big message at the top, bold and red, that said I had to switch to a nationwide plan. They even had a picture of a lady who seemed very happy to be on a nationwide plan standing in front of one of their 3G coverage maps. After finally getting back onto verizon's site tonight, I went through the process of upgrading to a Droid (up until "proceed to checkout") and it never said that I needed to upgrade my plan, so I think I'm good to go with the AC II plan. If not, I found out that there's an unadvertised loyalty plan that will keep my costs the same. The only difference then would be that my 2 lines which won't be on a smart phone would have data charged by MB instead of MOU, but they're just dumb phones anyway so that won't be a problem.
Can you imagine the frustration you would have if you had a bad device (bad pixel, power issues, etc) and you try to take it in an no one in the store has even seen them yet, and they can't replace it there because they don't have any?
I saw that. Multimedia phones require the $9.99 data package minimum. Smartphones, like the Incredible, require the $29.99 unlimited data package or higher.hey did anyone else notice that verizon is requiring $9.99 or higher data packages on what they classify as "3G Multimedia Phones"? such as the EnV series, Chocolate, etc. that must be recent since i didnt need a data package on my EnV Touch that i got in October.
