Except I can confirm that when I bought my Omnia in a Store I told them either give me the instant rebate or I walk out and buy online.

I got what I wanted :D
 
i plan to pre-order on verizons site due to the fact i'm ne2 eligible. I doubt best buy even understands what ne2 is and I doubt they would honor it.

I just called my local VZW store. I asked if I could pre-order and he said no but he said he would put my name on one to reserve it. He said I was the first one to have one reserved. I'm east coast and my store is open at 9am and BB is open at 10 am. While you all are waiting for Fedex and BB to open I'll let you know how it is. :D

I can deal with waiting a month for the MIR plus I believe it's a 25% discount on accessories when you purchase a phone in store, NE2, plus I'll put it on my VZW bill. WOOT WOOT!!!!!!
 
That seems like a pain in the ass where I can just go to verizons site, log in, click on "upgrade" under my phone image and get my discount. I can wait a couple days I don't need it right now.

Thats fine but I know for a fact that FedEx will have the phone at my work by 10AM. I have ordered other phones like this in the past 3 months for my other phones on my account and they have been there by 10AM. No later!

You have fun waiting for your MIR to come back to you.

One more thing... Cause of where I work I get 25% off accessories anytime...

EDIT: I am in Ohio and I know where the warehouse is so I know I will get it that day at 10AM.
