I think what I learned from this is that "androidcommunity.com" must be pretty awesome as well. A website that manages to be of that much value to a lot of people should be appreciated and respected - not derided. It ain't easy to do it well.

Phandroid has been everything I need. AndroidCommunity likely has its own value. In fact, it takes prejudice to not look in to see why so many like it. Maybe we can all provide better and better service by seeing the best in what is being done.

Just my opinion. Sorry, this came out sounding waaaay more preachy than I meant it :)

Also, they said "Plan for an hour". I don't want THEM to be the first one to put a finger print on the phone. Let me buy, take it home and activate there just like I ordered it online.

I talked to my vzw rep yesterday and he said that I could stop in and play with an Incredible early this week (maybe even on Monday). Can't wait! He said that the pre-orders will be shipped out on the 29th for delivery on the 30th. Not to worry he's setting one aside for me in the store for pickup on the 29th without the preorder.

I just went through this after changing my plan and her is how it works.
If your primary service is under 79.99 you get $50 NE2
If your primary service is over 79.99 you get $100 NE2

I dropped my min from 1400 to 700 last weekend and this bumped me down to the $50 credit. :( But with a call to CS, They are going to still let me have the $100 to put on my INC :D

Plan for an hour? It's a dam phone.. Is it going to be more insightful as if you were going to a planned parenthood meeting?

VA actually has a 5.0% sales taxes. The 4.5% tax ended several years ago and changed to 5%

The second part of that is not true. The pre-orders will ship for delivery on the 29th, it clearly says that online.

I'm on an 89.00 Friends and Family shared plan (grandfathered Alltel) and my NE2 is listed at 50/line though both primary and one other line currently qualify for the NE2. The date was bumped up from August to 4/9 for some reason.
 
so this is the first time buying a phone from a place other then vz directly. do they activate the phone there or do you have to activate it yourself at home or take it to a vz kiosk? was so excited about pre order completely forgot to ask. thanks in advance.

The pre-order information from the e-mail verizon has sent out strictly states that the pre-ordered phones will be delivered on the 29th.

These are the old NE2 discounts. However, if you signed up within the last 1-1.5 years they changed it to $50/$30.
 
Was going to pre-order at Best Buy but asked the guy upfront if they could do a 1 year contract renewal, he said "no". Oh well guess I'll have to wait a few extra hours on the 29th to get it vua the Fedex man.
 
haha YES! I just called the verizon number and spoke with a really nice guy. My NE2 wasn't eligible until 6/24/10 but after speaking with him he moved it up and I'm eligible as of right now!

does this mean they will activate the phone there for you. my store didnt say a word about making an appoitment, just took my number and will call when its available. i wont be picking it up til after work thur. around 6pm so dont think i will have to worry about the mad rush everyone else will have thiers by then. if so i will have to call store back and make an appointment.
