Just for everyones info. I talked to a BBM manager and even if you have a corporate Verizon account as long as your the authorized user you can still upgrade a line on the corporate account at BBM. I explained how the BBM upgrade checker online doesnt allow you to check corporate line upgrades and he said in store it can and is done all the time...
Just back from the "pre-sale" at my BB. They opened at 11 am EST and I was the only one there for the DI. They did not have any dummy phones or displays to look at. They had an email they printed with the instructions. It does state that the release date is the 29th. My reciept is for the HTC DI pre-sale so they have a SKU in their system. I got a $50 gift card that you can return or use immediatly on anything in the store. They only take your name and contact phone number so this does not keep you from doing the verizon pre-order tonight and if verizon ships early you can just cancel the BB deal. BB clearly stated that they will apply my NE2.
Also for those of you looking at the insurance you can get the BB insurance for $119 for 2 years if you pay upfront versus $240 for $10/month x 24 months.

Just got back from BB as well. 2 incredible's preordered
They told me they should have display units out a few days before the release and would call me so I could come in and play with it.
Insert comment about restocking fee......

Got the Eris on March 19th. Awesome phone, my first smartphone. Immediately began delving into the Android World. Found this forum, and learned of the impending release of the Incredible. Took the Eris back yesterday. When asked why, I simply stated that I was upset about being told by Verizon that it would be upgraded to 2.1 by the end of March. I got a full refund, including the activation fee and the silicone case that I no longer had the package for. The only thing I ended up paying for were the screen protectors.
If you can turn it into a customer satisfaction issue, it can work to your benefit.
Now I am back to being good to go with NE2, and can't wait to get my Incredible!

got mine preordered. number 2 so guarrantteed one on launch day. talked to the guy in front of me in mt laurel for a good 15-20 min about this. excited
heres what i can tell you. no ne2 at best buy. if something physically goes wrong with the phone you have to take it to any bby. which i guess is no different from taking it to a vz store. if there is networking problem or wireless issue you can take it to a vz store. dont know for sure but heard the vz rebate is card issued and may be credit for instore purchase but may be wrong (dont flame if i am). besides didnt want to wait 6-8 weeks for a 100 rebate just for 50 bucks off ne2 which is only what i qualify for, for those who get 100 rebate i would definitly go with vz store.
can post picture of receipt if anyone is interested. cheers and can sleep well tonight.

then click Upgrade to a New Phone, then it will show you your NE2 status, then click the red/white Continue button,
on the next page make sure you're on the 3G Smartphones list and scroll down to the phone you want - it'll look something like this:
Just show them that on their own computer at BB - obviously then it can't have been altered ('shopped).

No, they are the exact same size. The N1/Incredibles screen is slightly wider than the Droid's, though (and a bit shorter). That's because they have a very slightly different aspect ratio.
Drove to the 1st Best Buy in my area bc it's close to where I work. They had no pre-order forms so I drove to the other BB and they did so pre-order is complete.
I cannot wait to retire this Blackberry Curve. I swear it's like it knows it's getting replaced and decides to freeze up daily.

hi everyone been lurking for a very long time here but i just had to finally post i just went to my local best buy and the said that they wont even be carrying the incredible so i could not pre order it man that sucks this phone has turned into an obsession for me hopefully i can pre order from verizon tommorow cause i need some closure

I just got back from Best Buy where I preordered. I have some new/different information for everyone's use.
I was able to preorder just fine. The lady heard me talking about the phone with a friend and she was already pulling the info up.
She physically gave me a gift card, and I only paid $50. Someone else on this thread had to pay $54 for the tax. Va has a 4.5% sales tax. My sales receipt specifically said HTC INCREDIBLE on it. She also said that BB will NOT honor the NE2.
I am able to walk in to BB to pick up the phone. HOWEVER- this store requires you to "make an appointment" to come pick it up so there is no rush to the counter. Since I was the first one there, I took the first appointment and will be getting it 10am the 29th.

The $100 discount was the old standard but the newer one is $50. I think it changed last year. So if you signed up before then you should get the higher discount.
