Jelly Bean 4.1

So how does one get the update? Is there going to be a CWM flashable Rom to just immediately update from a previous version of stock?
 
Help. I cannot apply the update. It gives me the following error:

Installing update...
Verifying current system...
assert failed: apply_patch_check ("EMMC:/dev/block/mmcnlk0p6:13721856:.................................

E:Error in /cache/2cf54ebccd1e.update_SPH-M830...
(Status 7)

Installation aborted
 
i had the same thing look what apk it is stalling at in the error thats the files you do not have. mine was giving me that error till i put id.apk and zone.apk back in the system/app folder
 
Currently reverting back to stock... is everyone getting their updates or is it just some people?

I had to trick the phone into grabbing the update. Settings>Application Manager>check the all tab and find Google Services Framework>clear the data and force stop.

Then you go to Settings>System Update and Check now. It might take more than once.

I am still having problems, not sure if it's because I am rooted or what.

You will get status 7 error if you have deleted system apps. It needs all original odexed apks to do the update.

Just got the update. I have a feeling we need stock kernel also. Got the same stupid error on stock odexed.

this did trick my phone i did not have to go back to the stock recovery but i did back up my phone b4 root and reverted to that b4 i did the update i have 4.1.2 WOOT

it did over right CWM going to hopefully re-flash

CWM did not flash :( odin said it did but it dident go to CWM when i tried to go into it
 
I think if you dont have a backup of the original stock rom then you're screwed. I unfortunately deleted mine. Guess I'll have to wait.
 
dont up date if you want to be rooted CWM dosent flash tried both normal and touch now im stuck with an unrooted phone FML
