did you ask if you can use your ne2? did you get taxed on that $50? i think it sux that they charge you tax on that $50, but when you get the phone for $200, they only apply the $50 and not the taxed $50.
Yep, from what I understand, the key to getting BB to honor a NE2 is to force them to do price matching for the deal you could get from Verizon.Yep, I was taxed on the $50, so it was like $54 something. They said I cant use my NE2.
Reading other threads it seems I may have screwed myself out of $100 because I am eligible for the NE2, but didn't get to use it at BB. I was under the impression that it was going to be $199 no matter where I did it, even with the NE2.

I pre-ordered mine this morning. With tax(colorado), total came to $566.56... I am not eligible for upgrade but HATE my storm 2 so much the cost is worth it for me.
I think being taxed on gift cards are per-state. I live in California and I don't believe I've been taxed on any cards I've bought (it's been a while since I've done that, so I'm not sure if that's still the case). I would check how your state handles gift cards (CA also doesn't allow any exp. dates on gift cards so you can hang on to them "forever").
I would google "sales sax gift cards by state" or whatever.
Make sure if someone actually is able to get the phone before the 29th, let us know!!!! (with proof)!!! Some people have been saying they were told they could pick it up before then. I was not told that, and I am curious to see if it is actually true!
