I just got back from Best Buy, where I pre-ordered. The phone was 199.00 with contract, - 100 for my NE2, making the total purchase price 99.00. I put down 50 dollars deposit, for which they handed me a gift card that could be used for the phone, or if I changed my mind, then used in the store or cashed out.

I signed up twice (2 diff. email addresses) for pre-order on the Verizon page. Haven't received any emails yet about how to order. Have any of you gotten emails? Or am I jumping the gun? Should I set my alarm for 12:01 AM Monday morning (tomorrow) and check to see if I got an email? Am I obsessing too much????







(Given the peeps I'm asking here, I expect a "No" to that last question....)

would that really make any difference to you? i mean come on! i want the phone as much as the next person, but an extra 24 hours to pre-order is really of no value to me...needless to say the news isn't about that.

ordering online gets you the instant rebate. no dealing with a mailed in $100 card

It's instant when you order on-line from VZW.

Anytime you order online from VZW it's an instant rebate.

If they offer the rebate at all that is- do not think we have confirmed this- unless I missed something- we are just assuming they will offer $100 rebate

So why does there seem to be no Costco love here? It's all BB. Is there something I'm missing?

Maybe because they aren't definitely going to get the phone. Went to my costco and they said they've yet to carry an HTC phone and its unlikely they will carry it. Not sure if that meant all costco's or just the one in my area.
