Root Camera

try renaming /system/app/Camera.apk to /system/app/Camera.apk1

basically, this will disable the stock Camera.apk app so there is only one other option...4.2 camera. This may break the camera completely, but all you have to do to fix it is rename the file back to the original Camera.apk.

Actually, if you want to take it a step further, you could rename the 4.2 camera to Camera.apk. might fix the shortcuts
 
Did you use the 4.2 camera that I posted a link to? And if so is it working for you? If not where did you get yours? And does photosphere work?
 
i meant to change the apk name in /system/app to Camera.apk replacing the old one, but if you rename the old one you don't lose it.
 
There's no way to do it....I'm pretty positive tried many things....this camera zip installs the camera and new gallery in one app call Googlegallery.apk so I'm pretty positive it can't be done
 
in 4.2 the gallery and camera are one and the same. youll have to replace the gallery apk with it. should work just the same as far as that aspect but that should update your camera as well

When I tried the lock screen didn't go to anything camera worked but I couldn't get any settings menu on it...so I am pretty sure ZTE lock screen is impossible to change default camera tried since I got the phone and its no use lol
