Maybe because they aren't definitely going to get the phone. Went to my costco and they said they've yet to carry an HTC phone and its unlikely they will carry it. Not sure if that meant all costco's or just the one in my area.

CC will be carrying it, it's already in their computer system. Posted about a hundred pages or so ago. I called mine and they confirmed it.

<<<< still needs help on the alternate upgrade

dbag- if your talking about using an upgrade from another line- you have to order the phone on the eligible line and after you activate it you can then switch numbers around

i just called 611 and had them do both activation and number switch

Wait so do you automatically get another discount for your NE2? Because my NE2 is eligible right now, but when I went to My Verizon and went to upgrade phone, it only showed me getting the $100 rebate offer off of the 2 year contract price. Will I get another discount? Because that would make it $99 and I have 2 $50 rebate cards from previous upgrades which would essentially make it free, if this is true.

Cool! (then I would just use 'em and probably NOT call customer service ;) ) Wouldn't want them to "mess" up your discounts...LOL!

When I upgraded to the LG Dare 20+ months ago it was a pretty well reviewed touch screen phone. Although it wasn't new technology, touch screen at the time was the 'hot' thing so I selected a new 2 year contract. Now as I look at upgrading to the Incredible I am starting to think that maybe a 1 year contract is a better choice because I have seen how fast technology has changed in the 20 month since I started using the Dare. It didn't take long for the Dare to be old news. Hopefully the Incredible has longer legs.
I had the dare (before returning it due to frustration, although I still regret returning it) and I found that the screen was a little bit too plastic-y for my taste. hopefully the incredible will be better!

Thanks for Answering Varaonaid and Crashumbc...

Im on a Family Plan with 3 lines I pay 138.00 a month (1400 mins +other services)

PS. for the droid it says that i can get it for 99$

Well, I have always found the screen rather unresponsive to touch. It makes scrolling particularly annoying.

The Dare was a crap phone when it came out. Granted, it was "state of the art", but it was very early on in the game. The Inc will definitely have longer legs, it seems to be a well spec'd device and I feel the improvements are going to be in the software for the next couple years. At least until there are some major jumps in battery or chip technology.

That's why I am going for a 1 year instead of a 2. Just remember, if you go back to the NE2, the $ you get dropped.. It's $30/$50, NOT $50/$100.

By doing that it isn't even worth the NE2, although the 2 year contract price is nice and an extra $30 can't hurt!

I'm in the same boat but figure I will use the yearly upgrade option and just pay the extra $20. The way technology is advancing, need to upgrade every year to keep up. My Storm is practically a dinosaur now.

Centon 16GBRSDHC 16GB Micro Secure Digital Class 6 - eBay (item 260418522638 end time Apr-22-10 21:38:10 PDT)

pretty cheap!

Sweet, I'm going to buy all five offered and then resell them and profit!

But the phone is $70 more as well right? Or did I miss something?

I'm not sure if I should take this seriously... :o

Actually, I did mean it seriously. If you have some sort of cards with a code on it that you can enter, by all means, just enter it online and see if it will go ahead and take it off. Sometimes dealing "directly" with the computer system is easier and you don't have to worry about a CS rep getting flustered that you're getting it for "free". :)
