Best case for note 2?

Strange as it may be, i actually like the green color one. I should get something like that for my sis in law that at last count has dropped her S3 about 50 times. Just have to see if they make it for the S3.

As for myself, Ii am still going strong with the OEM flip cover.

I wish to see faces of Griffin guys and how they are kicking themselves for not jumping in with an official Survival case for N2. While they were scratching their head, HK retailers quickly took their S3 case and scaled it up for N2, selling for $10-$15 and flooding the market. That case above is a knock off of Griffin S3 Survival scaled up for N2. I got this one awhile back from one of the on-line places. It's not the highest quality, but its the Most durable (and bulky) case for N2 you can get. Bulletproof!

Holy crap, your are correct, this one copied from griffin survivor.

And the green 1 looks great(ish)
Yeah I kinda hv a feeling it will be hard to take it out from from front pocket with this case but luckily i always put it in my backpack / my jacket pocket.

I bought a "Flip PU Leather Cove #FG from wuyouguo2110 on ebay for $5 shipped. This thing is actually great quality for what I paid. It did come from china but I had it within the week I ordered it even though they quoted a 2-3 week delivery window.

I am probably going to order a couple more in different colors. I bought this one because it protects all four corners entirely and raises the screen up if you flip the phone onto it's face so you don't get any sand scratches.

Here are the pics...

very nice.i was just about to buy one but it looks like it only fits a certain model of the N2, I dont think Ihave the GT-N7100 :(
How does this not fit all models? isnt the cam in the same spot? same size dimensions??

Can you imagine combining a ZeroLemon battery and this case.....

That was my first 5 min when I got my ZL9k3 - looking at my Survival knockoff and my Defender knockoff, trying to see if I can apply the same mod to Survival as I can to Defender. Doesn't work :(

I have tried a few different cases from eBay, cheap molded cases with a front cover, but I haven't been very happy with the quality of any of them. Are there any more mainstream brand light cases that don't make this already-huge phone even harder to carry around?

Not looking for just a battery door with a front cover, I want an actual TPU-style molded case with a front cover.

I also got one from eBay but I also have the UAG. I love the UAG case. I feel it is the best compromise between protection and size. The difference in size and weight is really minimal.

EDIT: Crap, just noticed you said with a front cover, the UAG does not have a front cover. Sorry.

@ronald

I'm actually liking that case. My 1st thought was it looks a LOT like Otterbox and although I don't like their cases, yours stood out because it's colorful.

For me the green one is the best, it looks tough like military grade, the other (they hv pink, red, blue, yellow and all black) besides black make it look cheap.

On eBay it says waterproof, but being a knock off I wouldnt risk it.

Since im using my n2 also for mp3 player and I always have my earphone connected to the port, I might cut the audio cap off and maybe the camera cap off too

After having the Note 2 with my Tek21 flip case on it I have decided that this case is going to be a pain because the back of the case is soooo slippery.

I want a flip case that has a nice grip to it on the back. Any good ones out there?

I love all things Asian, so when I saw that there weren't that many choices for Note 2 cases here in California, I went on ebay and purchased a Korean character case (I like cute things), since it is a Korean phone.

The case I chose is a Macada character leather-like diary case and has good shock absorbtion if I were to (God forbid) drop it. I also like how it has a magnetic closure so it if were to fall, the case will stay closed, unlike the flip cases. The phone is easy to slide in and out of the case holder, and it doesn't impede the use of the camera or s-pen. (I would show you pics, but I am too new to this forum to post them)

When I purchased the Note 2, I also got one for my Dad. I got him a manlier brown, leather case that also folds out into a kickstand position so it will sit on it's own on the table. It also has ear holes on the front of the case, so when you are making phone calls, you can do it while your case is closed, cutting down on smearing.

So if you want something more fun and colorful, just type in Korean diary case galaxy note 2 on ebay and you should come up with a good selection. :)

Hi .. alot o people complain that the magnets in cases throw off the s pen .. I found a case with no magnets but it was only available to U.S. delivery, so I googled and found a store that supplied bear motion products to canada ... I have one of these and they are great ... check it out http://stores.ebay.ca/littleboxstore

I ordered the Otterbox Defender, but when I got it I was extremely disappointed, it looked like a brick so I returned it and ordered the Commuter, I like how it feels and how it looks but, somehow it peels my Zagg Invisible Shield HD around the front camera, fix the problem with a tiny bit of clear tape

For those that have had the official Samsung Flip Cover for a few months do you still like and use it? I am considering one but wanted to know if it has held together for folks who use it daily. I use the camera a lot as well so that's a consideration for me too.

I've only owned my Note 2 a few weeks and have tried a couple different cases
- Best Buy's Platinum kickstand case (Seidio Active) for $40. Nice feel and easy to access buttons but too hard to remove to swap out battery/sd card (there is a YouTube video to help).
- Fosmon kickstand case off Amazon for $4 but I got tired of the cheap plastic feel (kickstand worked ok for me though).

One tip I have is that a Garmin Nuvi neoprene case holds the Note 2 with a case pretty good ($15 at Office Max). Only downside is that the top is wide open but with a case on, the Note 2 will not slide out. I've seen a 5" Roocase on Amazon that looked even better (has a zipper).

I still may go back to using the Best Buy/Seidio case

Thanks for your input,
Peter

Just received my custom made case from Clove Technology UK. I'm really pleased with it.

It fits beautifully and the colour from the photo I submitted is fab

Nice. Glad they have custom options in the UK. For a second there, I was worried that you were in the US and spent too much to get a custom case.

I had posted a link for the artscow custom case, which is very affordable, the same style, and can be had in either shiny or matte plastic. For someone like me, who rarely (if ever) uses cases, I have used my artscow case since the first day I purchased.

I can't stand thick, heavy, bulky cases. My opinion is that it defeats the purpose of portability. Why make a sleek slim device all bulky and blocky. I always looke for the slimmest case possible.
I ordered the Ringke Slim from Amazon. 10 bucks. Love it !
[SF Matte Black] Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Ringke SLIM SF Premium Hard Case AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and Unlocked - Eco Package [REVISED VERSION]:Amazon:Cell Phones & Accessories

Custom one I made through artscow.com doesn't cost much more than that and is just as slim.

Generally speaking, I normally don't like using cases at all, but I've been using this one religiously since I got it. Especially because you can order it in the matte finish, rather than shiny plastic.

I can't stand bulky cases, usually my phones go naked. However the size and slipperiness of the Note 2 lends itself to some problems without a case.

I got the UAG case and love it. It adds a little bulk but looks awesome and provides a lot of protection. I highly recommend it. I got the white case for my metal gray Note 2.

I posted a few pages back, but it here it is, for those that hadn't seen earlier.

Of course, I took pics with it on the international version (currently up for sale), but still gives the idea of minimal size.

I had purchased a minimal casemate similar to this for by relative, but never had a phone that I could get one until now, since they didn't have early on for the evo and barely anything was made for the photon
