Root [Recovery][Beta] TWRP 2.5 & 2.7

This is a beta release of TWRP 2.5 recovery which is an all touch based recovery. Everything works other the bugs or issues listed below.

Installation instructions: flash in cwm like an ordinary rom or kernel.

Bugs/issues:

1. if you enable screen time out and the screen times out, you will be unable to wake the device and you will need a battery pull or restart from adb. This option is enabled by default, so you will need to disable this. Will fix this soon. This is fixed in the 2.7.1.0 version.

If you want to go back to cwm then flash this zip through twrp.:

2. This really isn't a bug. Some updater scripts may be incompatible with this recovery. The rom dev will need to update their script.

Will update this later. Posting on mobile.

Everything seems to work, I believe I tried everything but I did nothing with the screen time out except look,...All I can say is it's "AWESOME" :-)....Very nice work & thanks!!!

If anything pops up I will post it!!!

Say if go n flash n test it out would I b able flash back clockwork mod recovery or have do whole setup again
To get clock work mod recovery back?

Thanks for the TWRP phenom!!! I've been enjoying it for months on my N7.

But.............Default setting for me was screen timeout ENABLED. As in the box was checked and the slider was at 60 seconds (or something like that). After I un-checked the box I hit the backbutton and then selected "restore defaults" and bam......screen timeout was enabled again. Please re-check your OP instructions and make sure it is not backwards. Thanks again and cheers.......:smokingsomb:

phenomx4 great work on getting TWRP on the Optimus Elite. +1 for the flashable zip.

After running a full backup/restore and a fresh flash of your 05/07 CM9 build, everything on TWRP works great.

The only immediate issue I had was stated in the OP for screen wake/freezes when screen timeout/lock is enabled and screen times out/turns off.

Although as phenomx4 stated in the OP, the screen timeout/lock is indeed ENABLED by default in screen menu to 60 seconds and just as a heads up for anyone else using this TWRP, the screen will freeze and require a battery pull or reboot from adb if you don't disable screen timeout/lock in screen menu.

Thanks phenomx4 for the great work/progress on CM9 and TWRP on the Optimus Elite.

Read the OP...........slowly. SPEED (reading) KILLS!!!! :smokingsomb:

Actually mad4some, I politely suggest that you backtrack yourself and read the OP again.

I was basically posting the same feedback that you did in your other post above. phenomx4 stated in the OP that it is "disabled" by default.

As I stated in the above post and as you stated in an earlier post above as well, it is actually enabled by default, this means that you have to turn it off in the screen menu. Otherwise if you flash this and boot/reboot into TWRP you will get a screen freeze upon timeout by default after 60 seconds.

Thanks for misreading, next time read before you reply. :)

Mine was not disabled. I took care of that right away.

Otherwise, excellent recovery. I'm enjoying it greatly.

I made some themes out of one theme.
Green, Pink, Random, Black, White.
(I would have screenshots but I don't have an available computer)
Just Extract the TWRPTHEMES.zip to your sdcard.
Make a folder in your TWPR folder named THEME(all in caps or it won't work)
Choose one that sounds cool to you
Move it to /emmc/TWRP/THEME/
Change the name to ui.zip
Reboot Recovery.

Note: The text in all of them is green. I have no idea how to change it.
