How lucky for you!! I can't pre-order bc I am not due for my NE2 until the 29th. it was may 12th, but verizon moved it up so that I could get the inc. the day it comes out!! This whole weekend I've been thinking how i'll be able to get to bed on sunday before midnight for once.....oh wait. look what pops up! something much more important than sleep!

Just a heads up for you guys in this situation...

When i preordered my Inc today at bestbuy, they didn't even bother to check and see if i was a verizon customer let alone due for an upgrade. So if you guys are dying to preorder the thing but aren't due for that upgrade, I would just head over to bestbuy and reserve your spot. We're all tech people here anyway, so worst case scenario is you just use the bestbuy giftcard to buy the next techy thing you want...

There are plenty of screen protectors you can get now. Just buy one for the Nexus One since it's the same screen.

well, either way I should get it on the 29th. and If I don't bc they sell out....what can i do.

I don't know why ANYONE would buy a screen protector, it's all a gimmick now that screens are scratch-proof glass. Complete waste IMO and it makes the phone look like poo.

The screens are not scratch proof. They are highly scratch resistant. Go find a nice crystall of something like SiO2 or even just a handful of sand. Rub it against your screen. It probably will scratch. There are a bunch of variables, like crystal orientation, etc, but it is not scratch proof. While I agree that it may not look the best, I do not think it is too bad.

haha YES! I just called the verizon number and spoke with a really nice guy. My NE2 wasn't eligible until 6/24/10 but after speaking with him he moved it up and I'm eligible as of right now!

Here's how to reach a live person...

What the F?! Mine is 6/18 and I've been denied a NE2 bump twice this weekend. This is BS.

I wouldn't be suprised if they look at your account info..how long you've been a customer, how many lines, how much your bill is etc. that's what they did for me when they moved mine up. they just "pulled up my account info to check a couple of things"

wouldn't work, from what i see, the screen protectors cover he ENTIRE front of the phone, not just where the actual screen begins. of course the N1 and incredible are different shapes with a trackball vs trackpad, different earpiece etc. so i don't believe that'll work

thanks for explaining that!

Some idiots will bid on it. That's why I hate Ebay. I bid on new Blu rays once in awhile and idiots bid it up over what it would cost to just buy it on Amazon with shipping or what it costs to just go to Wal-Mart and buy the damn thing!

I know its great. 6 bids and already at $350!! If you don't want to wait you can buy it now for $1200. At least you can say I'm the first one to pay in full for an Incredible... you just won't get to play with it until a week after we do!

Haha, I do usually carry diamonds and jewels in my pocket...

Seriously though, I tried to scratch both my storms and droids screen using razor blades, keys and a knife....no scratches. Don't panic everyone.... I attempted it before sending them back for replacement units.

Waste your money on screen protectors if you want, I own a vinyl shop and I won't even produce them because they are a waste and make your device look ugly. Take that for what it's worth.:p

You own a vinyl shop and don't produce them?!?!
Even if it is a waste of money, other people's waste of money (including me) is a bigger profit for you

I know it sounds like a dumb move...but I value selling unique and different products, things I find cool myself. I try not to make generic "junk" if I can. I can't tell anyone what to do, but I would definitely recommend against screen protectors, they really serve no purpose anymore with the high quality of screen glass being produced these days.

Zagg has the invisible shield for the Droid Incredible already anyways. Already ordered one earlier today
ZAGG | invisibleSHIELD | HTC Droid Incredible Cases, Screen Protectors, Covers, Shields, Skins, Invisible Shield

I know it's just my opinion but I cant stand the rubbery feel of the Invisible Shield screen protectors. I used a friends Droid who had one and your finger sticks to it like crazy. I also don't like having to spray it down to work.

I'm hoping that the Steinheil Crystal protectors are as glass-like as everyone says they are. I've also heard they are more print resistant that most crystal protectors.

Oh yeah, and that they actually make one for the Incredible!

Does anyone know what time Eastern the preorder through Verizon's site begins for the DI? I'd like to submit my preorder the first second possible.
