Game controller for Evo 3d

Hey guys. I've got a rooted Evo 3d running Harmonia. I would like to connect a game controller to the phone so I can play games using the controller rather than the onscreen controls.

Can I pair either my wii controller or xbox 360 to the Evo? Is there an app that I should get for mapping buttons and all that jazz? If those two aren't possible, what about wireless ps3 controller?

I've never really tried to do this before so I don't really know where to start. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Both the wii and the ps3 controllers can be paired with our phones, Because they use real bluetooth. The xbox 360 controllers are actually on the 2.4ghz band, So they cannot be paired wirelessly.

Thank you for the reply.. So it's pretty straightforward in configuring games to use the wii controller once it's paired? Will give it a go this weekend.

I read that many apps have problems with HTC Sense UI. I tried sync'ing a wii fit board to my phone and couldn't get it to work. That's really why I posted the question.

Ive never actually heard of anyone pairing a fit board to the phone. I dont understand why you would want to. What kind of app did you want to work with this?

Also If you change your kernel to one that supports USB OTG then you can use wired controllers like a 360 controller or ps3 controller provided you have the necessary adapter cable.

Using sense based roms will generally make using a wireless wiimote or ps3 controller difficult if not impossible. Most JB roms will remedy the issue.

Here is my current set up.
Android Emulation and gaming (iControlpad, Play PC games on android, and more)

This is exactly what I've found using both the wiimote and the wii balance board. Both are a no-go.

If you are set on using a wiimote then I would suggest trying either Angry Bean or Dirty Unicorns Roms. Both are based off the newest available android jellybean 4.2.2, and both work well with the HTC Evo V. They will also remedy the problems you are having with HTC's implementation of bluetooth, thus enabling you to use either a wiimote or a dualshock 3 with your phone.
