Root [AT&T] How do I unlock HTC One

How hard is it to unlock an HTC One from AT&T so I can use it when I go to Europe?
Will that void my warranty?
Do I have to unlock the bootlogger or gain root access to do this?
Please help if you can thanks you.

You mean so you can use another networks SIM in it?

It is illegal. Thank your government.
It can be unlocked because I got mine unlocked but you have to qualify... And that means you have to be in good standing... Have the 32 gig model... Minimum of 90 days active and a few other things.
If you bought it outright then they will do it.
You have to use the unlock website to request it.
