I couldn't see a 1 year option....only 2.....but i'm the second line on a family plan.
I looked it up under my wife's phone (she's the primary) and they only offered her a 2 year renewal price and it was $269

I have the Alltel F&F 10 Smartpack 1200 plan, and I ran in to the same thing on the web site, but I received a letter in the mail the other day (see attahed)that clearly stated that I could upgrade - including a smartphone - and keep my Alltel plan. A brochure with phones was included, and several smartphones were offered, including the Moto Droid. This was also confirmed when I called the number on the letter the other day.

I suspect the web site just can't handle that (at least not now) and we'll have to call it in.

I had the same question. Don't pick the messaging plan. I currently have the 59.99 nationwide talk and text which is 450 minutes and unlimited text/picture/video messaging. The only thing was it asked me to pick the data plan since I too have a blackberry currently on my plan. The reason is the blackberry 29.99 data plan is technically the same as the smartphone 29.99 plan but is labeled differently.

pick the 29.99 data plan, don't touch the messaging plan, then when you are done and it reviews your order it shows "added smartphone 29.99" and "removed blackberry 29.99" but don't worry this won't take effect until you turn off your blackberry and activate your incredible so you can still use your blackberry up until you actually activate your incredible.

When you are looking at the phones its a drop down at the top of the list.
 
DAMN IT HOW LONG DOES CUSTOMER INFORMATION TAKE!!!! I am going to end up paying 199.99 for the phone + taxes and 8.99 for overnight shipping (which I am positive I can ask VZ CS to refund). Also going to bill it to my Monthly Bill :)

I know.

i went under both accounts and neither one could get 1 year pricing for less than $269 (after instant $100 rebate)....not sure where some are getting $229. I went to Upgrade Phone on both accounts and that's what I found.

My wife is up for NE2 in june.....we'll wait and see how much the Moto Droid is gonna cost now that the DI is out and see if I want to wait til then to buy it for her.

Wow, thats really strange. I'm the main line of a family plan and I havent made any other phone purchases. Did they take more money off at the checkout? I only looked up the phone as an upgrade on My Verizon - I havent made the plunge yet - and it said $369.99 minus the $100 online discount. Maybe I'll go to a Verizon Store tomorrow and see if I can get a better deal.

No he said they are not using verizon.com, he said they are using verizonwireless.com, which is where you actually buy your phones. Even if you go to verizon.com you can go to wireless, he was just messing around, but yeah it is verizonwireless.com
 
Need help from VZW Reps. I am an Altel customer bought by Verizon with a friends and family 500 with 3 phones, one smartphone, and two razors. Am wanting to get 2 incredibles to replace smartphone (Not 3G) and 1 RZR. Online it is telling me that my RZR is not upgradeable as the plan is no longer offered. It says I have to purchase a new plan for that phone. The corp. VZW store said that I could upgrade by paying an extra $20.00. I assume it is because the service for that phone is $20 added to my plan. This is my daughter's phone who is in nursing school and we are trying to be as frugal as possible. Anyone have information. Called verizon 800 number and they did not know. Wanted to order the 2 DI's online but don't want to change my plan. Any comments.
