You wouldn't happen to be referring to the Eris would you? ::tap Home:: (nothing) ::tap Home harder:: (nothing) ::tap almost completely off the Home button and more than halfway onto the touch screen itself:: (Home screen pops up). ::sigh:: "Dammit." repeat 100000000x

haha they actually have the same problems on the nexus one's buttons. not responsive and you have to press above the buttons to get a response. not good. but the incredible looks great.

Because this was a surprise, Verizon. Remember that FiOS network you have? Put your server next to it and plug it in. And, yes, I realize it's not an actual solution. Just seems silly. Been trying since it came up.

That really shouldn't matter.

I am only asking because I remember looking into getting the Droid and Eris and was told straight out that I would have to change my plan to the Nationwide plan from my ACII plan. The site as I was going through everything, before it crapped out, said my current plan was compatible. Then when I got past the plan options screen it crapped out. Thought maybe the system just couldn't figure it out with the old plan. But, does not explain why My Verizon will not show my account info when I was able to see it all earlier in the day.

Very strange. I hope a CSR can put this order in if the system isn't working tomorrow and waive the mail in rebate, shipping, and the activation fee.

AHAHAHAA so many people preordering that website's server cant handle it

Was $49.99 for me and Data was $23.99, yay company discount

I miss that price. :( Somebody at Verizon messed up our account and its apparently wanting to charge us full price for data. Gotta get that fixed at Verizon before the phone gets to the house.

Just so you guys are aware. When I placed my pre-order online with one of the VZW cust serv reps on the phone with me it sometimes took each page 2 or 3 minutes to load. Those cust serv reps are very patient though and they'll wait as long as it takes but yeah it is working very slowly but it works. I was doing this through firefox 3.6.3(newest version).

info: don't pick the 250 messages for $5 option, pick the 29.99 data plan, don't sweat the free shipping as it is enabled automatically(was for me at least).

Well this makes me pretty :D:

Battery Life

Given our heavy use and extensive testing of the Incredible, battery life was strong. We got a full day of almost non-stop usage with the device and we never had to worry about having a charger around. After taking the device off of the charger at about 9:00 a.m., we started web browsing, doing e-mail, using apps for our Twitter account, and we listened to a lot of music. Our call testing took place in the afternoon around 3:00 p.m. and one of our calls lasted well over an hour. With further testing, picture taking with flash, video recording, and more web browsing, we didn't have to plug the device back in until 11:00 p.m. And even then the Incredible still had a 29 percent charge. Overall, this is excellent battery performance by any standards, but more so with a powerful smart phone like the Incredible.

Edit: It's weird that they had such a problem with call quality. It seems like almost every other review says the call quality was excellent.

Update: saw this on the Nexus One page on google.com/phone

"Nexus One coming to Verizon in....nevermind, you guys don't even care any more."

I tried to order the phone as an upgrade and it crapped out on me.

Edit: This is such BS! I got all the way through to choosing my plan options and then the site crapped out on me. None of my information is available. This happened last night as well when I was checking to see if the phone was available for pre-order. All this info was available earlier today.

Anyone else having any problems?

Same with me on Firefox. Then I tried on IE and had no problems at all... heard someone else had the same experience.

I am in the same boat. Either that or they are doing maintenance. I would hope it is maintenance because they should be well equiped for a few thousand ppl logging into their accounts at the same time. Doesn't make any sense.

Do you have a Nationwide plan or ACII?
Nationwide plan, why?

Spring 2010The Nexus One Phone with Verizon Wireless service. Coming soon in the United States.
Can't wait for your Verizon Nexus One? Click here

Haha! This is great. Google changed the site so that if you click on the "can't wait for your Nexus One?" part, it links to the Incredible. Try it out!

EDIT: It actually doesn't. I just modified the link. But it was funny huh?

To sweeten the deal, there's an extra 6.6 gigabytes of storage (which for some reason Verizon is still reporting as 8 gigs, even with a footnote explainer) that you can use for music, video, photos, whatever. (At the time of this writing, apps are still constrained to the 512MB of ROM -- more than enough for more people, but something Google has promised to address in future updates to Android.)

And on top of that, Verizon's including an 8GB microSD card, and the phone can handle up to a 32GB card.

Anyone catch this? saw it on the android central review, is he misinformed or do we not know something?

edit: also has the voice to text feature some were wondering about

I've been trying on Firefox and IE for 45 minutes now. It keeps telling me that "the selection you've made is unavailable at this time" when I click on about everything. I log out and back in.. same problem. :(

This may have been asked and answered, but here goes.

I saw Anon's post about the 802.11n WiFi and it was great news, but why on the HTC Incredible page on the Verizon site, under details does it say "WiFi capable"?

When I have seen that on Verizon phones in the past, it usually means that it's there but not activated?

what post? did i miss something?
