Nationwide plan, why?
Saw that as well, funny that engadget's review said something like "it would be nice if HTC/Verizon would include at least a 2gb card..."To sweeten the deal, there's an extra 6.6 gigabytes of storage (which for some reason Verizon is still reporting as 8 gigs, even with a footnote explainer) that you can use for music, video, photos, whatever. (At the time of this writing, apps are still constrained to the 512MB of ROM -- more than enough for more people, but something Google has promised to address in future updates to Android.)
And on top of that, Verizon's including an 8GB microSD card, and the phone can handle up to a 32GB card.
Anyone catch this? saw it on the android central review, is he misinformed or do we not know something?
edit: also has the voice to text feature some were wondering about
One review said 8gb card, another said no card...

Its like ... a whole other G added to 3G.
If you're in a 4G city and you pass on the Evo, then I have no sympathy for you and your impending buyer's remorse.
You are wrong.
Either you're REALLY playing catch-up, or are super fired up about his post, since it is 190 pages ago (over nineteen thousand five hundred posts ago). You are wrong.
The No. 3 wireless carrier, Sprint Nextel, claims to have a 4G network in place based on a different technology called WiMAX, though WiMAX is actually just an enhanced 3G technology.
Verizon and ATT are going to be going LTE right away. Sprint is actually just using a 3g enhanced network. Not the fast 4g.
That is LTE or Long Term Evolution.
4g LTE isn't going to be.....
Let the suckers get the guinea pig model while we ('INCREDIBLES') are fully optimizing the technology of TODAY with a bigger/better network and 3g network. Plus it's smaller, slimmer, and it's HERE!! Who the hell wants a built in stand for their cell phone anyways.. The evo is just pushing the envelope of teeny bopper phone.
Sure, it IS compatible with your current VOICE plan, which just happens to include the Vcast, et al. But Vcast is only a plan for their web via VZW programming, not a traditional data plan, which is currently required for all smart phones.wtf? i have a nationwide plan with unlimited txt and vcast (which gives me unlimited web).
It tells me this phone is "compatible with current plan" yet - still tries to force me on a $30 data plan. ugh. guess it really isn't "compatible with current plan" then is it? hmpf!
The 'ol half century mark. I know of an Incredible way to celebrate that momentous occasion....Happy birthday to me. Notice day and year

Wow - California charges tax on the full retail amount...ugghhh. Just paid $94 in tax on phones for me and the mrs. ($149 & $199)... Sux...

what post? did i miss something?
Ok, now that we know people have it, and the embargo has been lifted, can someone please tell me if Sense fixes the ActiveSync security protocol issues inherent in the stock Android? My firm requires devices to accept remote wipes and forced password locks on all devices connected to Exchange. Stock Android does not allow for this, but I've heard Sense is a more robust ActiveSync experience.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If it is supported, I get my data paid for by my firm. If not, I not only have to pay for my own data, but continue to carry around a Blackberry as well as my phone.
