Game of Thrones

I heard book 2 was split for two season.

Maybe they decided to do this do they didn't out run the books!:D Love Martin, but he keeps us hanging for years! And after the cliff hanger ay the end of Dragons......gah! Just have new book yesterday!

But seriously, the characters who are missing should have been introduced at the beginning of the season. I just don't see how Bran is going to be able to get where he has to be without them.

+1 :)

I'm tempted to read the 3rd book, but I'm enjoying the show so much, I don't want to spoil it (as backwards as that sounds)

I'll probably pick up the 1st and 2nd, they seem relatively cheap on the Kindle.

+1 (and i totally know what you mean, i like not knowing what is gonna happen)

Oh and btw... Calisi is NOT to be ****ed with!! :D

Loved the second series, really improved sets and locations.

Few missing characters, however i did feel that it felt very busy at times moving from one story to the next very quickly so probably the right decision.

Would liked to have seen more of Tyrion as this was when he really showed his great mind at work but Peter Drinkage was excellent again.

Bron, The C***s a legend

Not sure about the uniforms. Both the wildlings and the ironmen had a kind of colour coded clothing, the wildling a white mottled and the ironmen a green mottled colour thing. I know there is a lot of characters to keep up with but i don't need aids to keep up with them. The wildlings should look wilder and the ironmen more like viking raiders they are loosely based on.

having read the books was disappointed with the torture scene at Harranhal, should have been more nasty to fully show how horrible and evil gregor Clagane and his men are.

Thought did Jaken hagar well, understated performance which worked very well but still showed menace.

The battle of the blackwater was excellent. I've read some complaints about the episode but i think they miss the point. This is a series with a growing but still limited budget not a hour and a half hollywood action film. All the main plot points of the battle were shown if not in the same way as the book, but this isn't the book. All in all i thought it was a great episode.

Really liked the way they showed Theons fall. Despite everything he does he gets deeper and deeper and disliked and hated by everyone.

Would have liked to have seen more of Quarth. We really didn't see much of the city itself or the people. With such exotic characters i think they should have used the location more.

wasn't sure about some CGI, the direwolves in particular but it got better as series went on and i like it a lot more now.

Tywin, lannister, Mellisandre, Brienne, Stannis, the onion night etc etc all acted fantastically imho the casting has been very good

Loved the end. hadn't seen too much of the lads on the the fist of men, but the ending with the wights and the other were a great teaser for season 3

just some of my early morning hangover thoughts :p

Think last weeks episode was probably the best yet. had all the intrigue of Kings Landing, the wit of Tyrion, The Brotherhood without Banners, kicking off at Crasters Keep and even though she was only on for 10 minutes at the end, Dani screwing over the slavers with the Unsullied was awesome!

was awesome
would like to have seen a flail used like the book but it was brilliant anyway

also loved the pointless mental torture of greyjoy. going round for nthing

What's game of thrones?

The ginger prostitute with the crossbow bolts sticking out of her.

Well, I didn't expect that. Wow.
