First question... are you rooted?

If so, you shouldnt be taking the OTA update. You simply download the updated stock rooted ROM and flash it through recovery

Its been available for about a month now, you could have been enjoying it that whole time

I'm not rooted. I got it last week. Disabled it within minutes lol. Unless there's a way to get rid of the forever there tab thing it just gets in the way.

Holding back toggles the tab

Actually the original thread started by (Lukaslukasm) shows that he is is rooted, but the thread kind of got hijacked by (harvickchick) who is not rooted so the original thread was, i believe, in the right place.

I noticed you provided a link to a Sprint ROM. Have you seen a Verizon one? I've been looking and I found this one from March, though I don't know if it's updated to this new one that's gone out in the last 24 hours: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2178482

Danger would be losing root.

That app hasn't been updated in nearly a year, shows it doesn't work with s1/s2 and chances it may not work with the s3 either.

Some of the hype over there was a possibility of a brick.

Ohhh I'd say give it a few days and there will be a stock-ish rom up on xda
