I preordered two Incredibles yesterday at Best Buy and they asked me to schedule a time to pick it up on the 29th. I also asked about all worries people have rumored about Best Buy Mobile and they assured me the operate as all Verizon stores do according to free activation if preordering, 30 day returns, plan changes etc. I had to pay $50/each to secure the phones but will get it back in the form of a gift card I can use on the phones. I HIGHLY doubt this will sell out and I think preordering can be silly but preordering saved me $70 for activation and if for some reason this phones is a huge disappointment I'll just do the 30 day return... or withdraw to the wild and cry under a tree until I am consumed by the wildlife around me.

Also, I am trying to choose a micro SD card to buy and I'm a bit confused as to why on NewEgg two 16 gig Class 6 cards would be have a difference in price of $20. Also, I have some screen protector questions. Since I'm buying two phones all my prices double so I want to make sure I'm buying the choosing a worth while deal. If anyone has some insight please send me a PM as to not litter the forum

I am on a Storm 1 as well...and I know you have to have the light hit it just right to see the grid (maybe twice in the 17 months i've had the phone) which is why I made the BGR comment...they were looking for something to nag about the phone and if this is it I am all the happier. No other review shows this or comments. Someone else would have said something by now.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say these phones have probably already been activated by Verizon and have a corporate log-in enabled. I read in one review that some of the mgmt stuff couldn't be accessed because it has a corporate activation and he didn't have access to them.

So that's my 2 cents.
 
A little under 2 years ago i ordered a Zagg for me had quite a bit of drag and orange peel even when applied 100% according to directions. I personally will be purchasing a clarivue anti glare protector once released and probably a verizon screen protector for the time being. I hate smudges and finger prints so.

I really think that's a personal preference.

If a 1 year contract is worth 30$ to you then absolutely.....If you want to change phones in 1 year, why not?

If you're the primary user on the account then it doesn't really matter, cause you can sign up for a 2 year contract @ 199$ and after 1 year you are eligible to purchase a phone at the renewal rate (no NE2 discount). My wife's 2 years is up in June and she is waiting for her NE2 discount instead of paying the 199$ rate right now.

One of the reviews did say you CANNOT clear the defaults under Sense. The review also said you CAN replace Sense UI with another home screen application.
 
I've read some stories about people getting their NE2 discount moved so that they could upgrade to the Incredible.

How many days, weeks, months was the most change to an eligibility date that people have seen?

I'm eligible for my annual upgrade - have been since November but my NE2 isn't until July but I want the Incredible now and my NE2.

Any suggestions on what to say to the CSR?
 
Just purchased my 2 incredibles online, and I'm afraid my wife is going to be p!ssed :) hopefully she wont see the 4 or 5 videos of the new iphone. I'll have to admit it's pretty sweet, they also threw in a front camera and it's going to be hard for me to explain to her, why I wouldn't let her wait until June, the only saving grace will be if its available on Verizon, since we just switched from AT&T :)

oh well, for those interested, go quickly, i imagine the content disappears in 3...2...1.... :)

I agree this is stupid. My HTC Touch is the same way, and I hate the way it rocks when you are using it while it's resting on the table. At least the Touch has a protective ring around the lens which has prevented any bad scratching. Doesn't look like the Incredible has this, so I'm a little worried about the long-term prospects here.

So, you are saying that I can sign a 2-year contract on 4/19/2010 and get the Incredible for @199; then on 4/19/2011 I can get an LTE phone for the full price - new user price - the rebate?

On 4/19/2011, will the upgrade be available if I make my phone purchases thru Best Buy?

ok you lost me on this one. so lets say i purchase mine from best buy, are they going to have to open the phone install the batt and all or can they just activate it via phone call ?? who will this work i only ask cuz when i had the droid the employes there where just tossing the phone to table no regards what so every and at one point ended up breaking the batt door.

Yeah I mentioned that a page or two back, but someone said that NTK said you can. So i was giving directions on how it is done on my Droid Eris with the leak 2.1 v2. I hope you can and I dont see why this would be excluded, but you never know.
 
Anyone getting the Incredible through the corporate channel (their employer)? That's the route I'm going and heard rumblings that phones can't be preordered through corporate accounts and you actually have to wait until it's released to order it.
