Close to what I was getting on my wifes esteem, over close to the beaches. but over the last few weeks those speeds have dropped by about 5% Have not checked in a few days they may be up again.

Thanks for the posts guys. Would like for this thread to remain for just Florida users.. That way we can keep a heads up on where and what areas to visit haha

This is from my job glass building 3rd floor Tampa

I think at least three fairly close in time to each other tests or several during a day are preferable to one test. I'll have one test differ dramatically from a test 30 sec later or one a min later.

My 6.98 doesn't mean much if all the other tests around then were about 3.

Jus sayin'

I'll be moving soon and I can actually see the metro tower when looking out my window it's just behind the park across the street, this is the same tower I hit 13mbps on in December last year and that's when I didn't have the tower in Line of Sight. The house I'm moving to is just 3 or 4 mins away from where I currently live.
I know its a metro tower by using the signal strength in phone info and using the OpenSignal app.

Can probably get a pic tomorrow

As an example.

I just ran 3 SpeedTests about 1 min apart from each other.

3.70, 5.10, 4.05. You'll note a > 60% difference between the first and second test. Reporting any One of these three figures show Much Less of the Real Picture than reporting all 3 of them.

Chiming in from west orlando fl...

WHat does metro towers look like. Ive done speed tests in certain parts where ive gotten constant 10+ but as soon as i ddrive to the next like it goes down..its like being on wifi with metro you never really get a average..

Didn't take the pic today didn't feel like driving over there in the rain but I'll be over there tomorrow morning @8:15 to get a shipment.

Here are a couple years a ran using shabbypenguin's New 1.3.0 Metropolis ROM and New 4.1.2 leaked modem MD3

:D
Damn pines :p
:( ya I can go 1/4 from the house and get better speeds on any service. When I had boost service it was really bad, at home 50-120k away from the pines 2mbs.

with tmobile its affected least I was getting(until the merger) 12-15mbs and away from the pines 16-20mbs

until this merger the metro lte was 10mbs at times and over 5 always.:p

I hear you in my town there's a bunch of oak trees and my speeds are like yours once I drive 2 miles up then speeds go way up its just the nature of it I guess trees block signal
