Root [Verizon] CM10/google.process.gapps stopped??

Welcome ohyaknow!
Do you have the Verizon S3?
Did you make sure you are flashing the correct rom .zip for the Verizon variant?
What were the steps you took when flashing?
Sorry for all the questions, but just needed more info and perhaps I will move your post to its own thread:)

I have a similar issue. I Root my s3 then tried getting cm10 and now my phone turns on and a little blue alian dude shows up and the Cyanogen mod logo spins for awhile the it says Unfortunately the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped.

i used the ap from the market the little black hat. everything was going smooth. then when the phone re booted the cyanogenmod boot just sat and spun. then it went away and i got that error msg. thanks for all your help it apears as if i got in over my head. I will look in my sd card and give you guys what i have on my S3 by verizon.

Hmm try this, boot into your recovery.

Select to fix your permissions, which is under the advanced menu if I remember correctly.

If that doesn't work, re flash your gapps and hopefully you just got a bad flash with them.

Hmm so you just rooted and didn't concert to t mobile right?

Goo.im Downloads - Downloading gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip

These are the gapps you need.

Just to be safe, do an entire reflash. Wipe cache, dalvik, factory reset, system and reflash the rom and new gapps
okay. i will have to do that part when i get home tonight. just to be clear when you say to wipe cache etc you are talking about doing it from the phone right. so i wipe the phone then plug into odin? and re flash the correct file

No there isn't any need to use odin.

When you have time to and get ready to do the reflash.

Boot into CWM, there should be a wipe option which includes data, cache and dalvik.

From there choose to install from sd card, locate where you have the rom and gapps, choose to install both.

So yeah, odin is completely useless from here.

Then from Odin do i do the vol up or down part.

Odin isn't needed as long as you've got a recovery :p

Only is only needed when you have to flash .tar files.

But yes, once your ready to, power the phone off, hold volume up + power until the phone vibrates and the Samsung screen shows up then you'll be in CWM to do what I've suggested above.

Even though the phone doesn't boot all the way up, (on my sprint s3 at least), the computer should recognize it once it passes the boot animation. In your case, the cyanogen mod logo.

Try that though. Does the computer your using have a card reader?
