damn.. same issue. so im clear i downloaded the 1 file. gapps-jb. then cleared all cache ETC. Then when so sd card and found file. i ran the file and the re boot. was that correct?

Did you do an entire re flash?

I'm not sure if you can flash 1 set of gapps over another.

Meaning wipe the cache/dalvik/data/system and reflash the rom as well with gapps.

Cm10 is out dated anyway

The old rom and both sets of gapps.

Download the gapps included in that thread too.

On your sd card?

No, as long as you've already got superuser flashed onto your phone, it's fine to delete.

As long as you've got the right files and know what your flashing, there's nothing to it
