Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Hey Stigy, i pm-ed you last week about an app idea..?

Yeah I saw the PM come through - just haven't had a chance to respond back yet. Been busy with some other things.

I will definitely get back to you though.

Ok, here's the general gist of the game.

You have two types of cards you draw from the pack: Trip Tickets and Trains
-Trip tickets tell you what route you have to complete to get the point value listed on that card
-Train cards are colors of trains that you collect to complete routes

Everyone starts the game with the a set number of train pieces as well, which are what you place on the board to claim your finished route.

Now, say you have a trip ticket that tells you that you have to complete a route from New Orleans to Houston and on the board that route is colored yellow and takes 5 trains. In order to complete that route, you have to draw 5 yellow train cards (there are also wild cards count for any color).

The goal of the game is to complete as many routes as possible and get the most amount of points. You start with a set number of trip tickets that describe the routes you must complete or be penalized. You can also draw extra ones throughout the game as you complete ones you already have in order to gain more points. Points are obtained by completed trip tickets, trains placed on the board, and other bonuses like longest train. The game ends when one person gets down to their last 2 train peices, then everyone gets one last turn.

So is it multiplayer across a network?

What happens if someone stops playing for a while? Does their turn auto-go?

Oh I'm not sure about that. I've just played the board game several times. But this is multiplayer but also cross-platform. Android, iOS, and PC (I think).

I guarantee you that this is just one of a family of court orders for each carrier. Gotta love it. :p

So current track for Andrea had it directly over my house at 2am tonight. Fun. Hopefully it doesn't strengthen much more.

Some photos from that fire. Learned it nearly destroyed the sales office where my wife works (they do tastings for clients there). It's the white building to the right of the fire:

Everyone got out of the store safely, only a couple firefighters (out of over 200 there) were injured. Crazy. I know they'll rebuild, it's a neighborhood institution.

Can't figure out how to embed them but there's some spectacular shots on Twitter. Search for "Frager's fire" and check out the gallery. Smoke was huge over last night's Nationals game by the stadium (it's not far from the store) and could be seen around Reagan Airport and Arlington, VA!

Ah, here's the one:

Woah that is crazy - glad to hear everyone got out safely and there were only minor injuries from the fire.

Good morning all - happy Friday eve!

Finding it very hard to keep my hands from typing what I think..

Ugh.

Anyways. Tickets for June 16th Pirates game purchased. I'm taking my nephew and one of my nieces and a buddy is going along. I told my niece that it is fathers and said wouldn't you want to spend that with your dad? She told me she would rather go to the game with me instead of spending it with her dad. That made me laugh. If her dad was yours, you would say the same thing.

The Purge was excellent!

As a movie it wasn't great but wasn't bad... but it all everything you needed to make it enjoyable and entertaining.
