Do you prefer the stock browser or Chrome? Chrome is amazingly fast but I prefer the smooth as butter stock browser on my HTC One.

Is it just me or does the stock broswer not always wordwrap the text on this website? I zoom in and it won't wordwrap the text. I'll do it again and it works. I'm going to assume it's the website causing that glitch.

I haven't even used the stock browser on the one really. I use chrome. I use chrome because it syncs to all your devices.

Best of all, Chrome makes Google Now absolutely so much more amazing and helpful. For instance , I've been searching for houses in my area. Google Now gives me a card with properties for sale. If I've been researching a news story, it will give me a card with developments in Google now. Lots of awesome stuff like that

Jim you have unleashed Chrome on your phone. Wow. You make a good point for using Chrome. I just think the stock browser is really smooth and amazing like jelly bean. HTC deserves a huge pat on the back!

I did have to use the Chrome broswer last night. The stock browser kept closing because I was trying to pay a bill on a military website. The website did not work nicely with the stock broswer so I made the payment with my Chrome browser and no problem at all.

Good deal. It is really nice to be able to get on the laptop and have everything readily avail that you were looking at on your phone, and vice versa. If you use chrome for awhile (on all of your devices) and have your history enabled, you will see what I'm talking about. It's makes the Google Now experience great

if you use chrome on your home computer.. and search.. it syncs with your phone.. searches and such.. thats good to know.. thanks

I love the Google Chrome more than my stock browser. Sometimes, my stock browser and previous Firefox keep lagging and would have wordwrap issues just like someone who mentioned that above. It's very irratating to zoom in and out when I'm trying to read something.

I prefer the stock browser & have disabled CHROME.I don't need both,as bookmark syncing w/DESKTOP CHROME & HTC stock browser works just fine.
I also have CHROME to PHONE installed as well.

Also like the ARTICLE VIEW option w/stock browser.
Glad to see this thread started,it provides me the opportunity to ask perhaps an all-to-obvious DEE-DE-DEE question:

Is it possible to set a default home page w/CHROME? If so,color me CLUELESS :p & please elaborate. :)

My question is when you visit androidforums.com is the wordwrap issue the result of the stock browser or the web page itself? I will zoom in and the text will not wrap until I zoom out and then back in again. I do not have this problem with other web pages.

technically, yes. You can go to your bookmarks and long touch one of them to bring up the menu options. You will see 'add to homescreen'. This will do just that, add the direct link to the site you want. So you could have it take you straight to espn or whatever it is you want.

I use Opera , I have used this on all my previous phones with good results. I will give Chrome a try to see if it is noticeably faster. In the month I have had the phone I have not used the stock browser, guess I should try that too. Cheers

I use both Chrome and the HTC Broswer. The stock browser is noticeably quicker and it does the word wrap. If Chrome increases the speed some and includes word wrap I'd use it exclusively. I like the syncing of sites a lot

I came to this forum to try out Chrome and some posts were in small lettering. I tried to zoom in and the lettering size stayed the same. Chrome has some work to do in my opinion. Maybe it will help when HTC & Samsung are only making a limited number of devices so Chrome will work flawlessly across all handsets. I can dream can't I?...LOL

Nice dream you have there :D

Alright guys, what browser are you all using? I'm using stock chrome but it doesn't seem to be the most battery friendly of the browsers. For the same amount of time being used it seems Dolphin uses less battery but it definitely bogs down the phone, especially if I'm typing something in through SwiftKey.

So I'm curious what other browsers you guys are using and your experiences with them. Is there anything running as smoothly without killing the battery as much?

I've not decided whether to use chrome or "Internet". Currently I use chrome, because I like its zooming better (zooms to text only instead of modifying layout). I tried few browsers (free versions): Boat Browser, Dolphin, Opera, One Browser, Firefox. All of those had something I didn't like, haven't checked battery usage though.

How do you change the default browser back to Chrome once it's set to the HTC browser. I'm finding the HTC browser is force closing too often.

settings>apps> swipe the screen to the left twice to show all apps>find the app labeled "internet", select it, go to the bottom and select clear defaults.

Once that is done you should be able to click on something that opens a link and select a new default browser.

I'm loving Next Browser right now...it operates a lot like chrome but in my opinion it's much smoother. It's made by the go launcher team give it a try!

if there is a feature you miss, send a ticket to htc. they may be able to include it in the next update if they realize its a well missed feature.

Has anyone found a way to enable flash on Chrome for the HTC One? When I"m trying to stream something on my phone, I'm forced to go to the stock browser which while performing admirably...is still a bit of a drag.

Also, how the heck do I get an adblocker for Chrome on my device?
