Bad signal

Friday metro was obviously doing some work on their towers. Data was out all morning. When I came back on did seem to anyone else that the signal strength was no longer there?
In places where I know I get at least 3g it droos out completely. Anyone else having these problems tbis weekend in DFW?

Lol yeah I know. Just glad to hear its all over. & I know we have to wait thru bad before it gets better

They're getting ready for the June LTE launches which theyre supposed to end up hitting 100mill with coverage

Bout 10 months after Sprint and they've basically passed them with LTE

Thanks I figure is related to that I hope we pass sprint soon

When i went to pay my bill yesterday, the clerk said that on june 19th the 4g in Connecticut would be turned on!, but in the capitol on normal 3G i easily get between 0.50 mbps- 1.75 mbps and thats the best in CT right now. i will hope it gets even faster in flordia :)

It seems I am noticing a fairly consistent slight increase in speeds And a noticeably more stable signal.

Figures are staying at worst in the mid to upper 2's to into the mid to high 4's. Almost more importantly is there seems to be less wild ass swings where I can hit 6.50 in one test then 2.1 in one 2 minutes later. The signal wave in the tests also appears more linear and less jagged.

That to me IS the $55 (a month) question. How much Xtra teat squeeze are they going to let Metro customers have to keep them happy and how much for their own T-Mo suckers?

The ones in LV have been getting the full speed

I too live in Arlington and switching from mb2 to mb3 made a big difference to me . I get much faster speeds and they are much more consistent

I just switched to Metro w/ an unlocked Nexus 4.

My home of Salem, NH (Boston market) shows having very good coverage, according to MetroPCS newly updated coverage map, but right now I have absolutely no coverage on my phone, not even one bar!

Damn it OP!

Every time I see this damn thread title I can't get that Bon Jovi song outta my head.

Your love is like Bad Sig-i-nal, Bad Sig-i-nal...

First Welcome to AF!

If you are still a no go, If it were me I'd Definitely head over to Metro's Faceplant page and leave them a calm polite message backchannel. Leave your last name and last 4 of your number.

If you are on one of the first BYODs in one of the 4 "test markets" they should SWARM on you getting you fixed up. The Faceplant team IS in Dullest/Fut Wuth and they are usually pretty good.

4g is down here in North Jersey. And we don't have 3g here metro skipped that and went to 4G so I'm on 1x and even that is dropping out:(

Check the apn as that might be why your not getting signal.

They didn't have enough spectrum to deploy 3G at the time

Hmm my question now is will the new TMetro ever be able to roll out a 20x20 network here in the NYC market being that they lack the spectrum other Metro markets have. I mean even after they kill off CDMA. I hear the initial rollout here will be 5x5 (based on the LTE now in the subways) not 10x10 as in some of the earlier LTE cities.

For you Metroers in Dullass with problem speeds lately, T-Mo news is saying they're getting numerous reports of T-Mo LTE up and running in Dullass.

I DNS, but it would seem to me that whatever jukeification they're doing to the Metro network, they'd be doing at the same time they're jukin' with the T-Mo network.

Which would mean to me I'd hope your speeds have come back for you.

Yes, I noticed an improvement this morning. I get 2 bars at work. It would take me about 20 sec to send a pic. Just a min ago it took me 5 sec. So yeah, things are gettin better in Big D
