Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Rooted my Galaxy S3 w/ CyanogenMod 10.1.0 & lost 4G

I rooted my phone last night and flashed CyanogenMod 10.1.0 and ended up losing 4G at 1st. Then I lost data all together. I had CWM and did a backup, but when I tried to flash back to stock it wouldn't let me. So today I flashed Metropolis-1.3.0...now the phones working again. I have data, but only 3G. Any idea what could cause this? I read that some of the people that flashed the same version of CyanogenMod that I did lost 4G too, but they were able to flash back to stock. So somewhere along the line I messed up the backup nandroid I did. But I should have 4G back now. My PRL is 2034, ERI version 2, Device Status Modified.

Any and all help with this is greatly, and I mean greatly appreciated!!

The only thing that is gonna work is flashing back to stock using odin and after flashing with odin when the phone boots up go to setting/backup and reset and do a factory reset let tge phone do its thing when it finish you should have 4g back

After all of that you gonna have to root and do everything again and dont forget to do a nv backup before flashing a custom rom

Samething happened to me two days ago i did everything and nothing help but that

The important question is, "Did you do an nv backup?" If you did, you could just do an nv restore & your data would be back

Lmao probably right. Didn't read ANY of the threads before he started playing. But, we'll still help, because I did the exact same thing when I first got my esteem. Lol so I laugh at myself too lol

Actually I did do a backup. For some reason when I tried to restore it, it wouldn't work. It just kept taking me back to the CyanogenMod. I learned my lesson with my old Samsung Indulge

ok try this on metropolis go to back up and reset on settings then do a factory reset then see if u get 4g back. please report back results so far its worked for one person.

Which nightly did you flash? Because yesterday's build 4g was confirmed fixed.

You backed up your nv correct? When you restore, you did in terminal emulator with the "reboot nvrestore" correct? It should not have taken you back to cm. For me on rc5 it bootlooped. I let it looped a few times and pulled battery. Manually booted into recovery and restored a different rom backup. 4g will be back.

Where is the nv backup stored

LOL that's almost exactly what I did to get my 4g back.

someplace on your phone that you can't get to. But trust us it does work.

I'm feeling paranoid that my nv might not have been backed up properly...can I back it up again to make sure?...

I restored the NV backup I had done when I rooted my GS3, but my phone wouldn't boot up after it rebooted. It'll get stuck on cyanogenmod screen, then restart.
Any ideas as to why this happened? I'd like to know before I go restoring stock and starting from scratch.

Was 4g broken...doing a restore if imei isn't gone could cause that...

Sorry I haven't been back on my own post. Work has been crazy. Just wanted to give a update. I've done everything that you all suggested plus everything else I could find on this type of situation. No luck. I'm still stuck on 3G. I took the phone to the service center by my house and they are going to replace it. I have to pay a $15 fee because the phone is older than 30 days, but that's fine with me as long as I can get 4G back. I do have a question that you all may be able to shed some light on. Could the CyanogenMod rom I flashed that caused my phone to lose LTE have affected the sim card? The guy at gthe service center said that it could be a sim card problem (he doesn't know the phone was rooted)? Just wondering cause if its the SIM card I'll have to go to the corporate store.
