This is what VZW has posted as its BodyGlove case. Not bad, but I like the idea of the other 'nameless' holster that has the screen facing inwards - more protection.

iPhone 4G
Pro:
Higher res display
Very solid build with high quality materials
Great design
High capacity storage
Most likely better camera with better video quality
Stereo speakers
Dual mics

Con:
iPhone OS ( Big factor )
Locked down with iTunes
Smaller screen ( Big factor)

I really need help with choosing to get the Incredible now or just wait to see if the iPhone comes to Verizon.

How exactly is the best camera on the market a con?
 
I wasn't aware that with two phones only the primnary line gets my corp. discount of 18%. Was not happy to hear about that esp. after the guy at the VW store told me it would be on both lines. Any one else in the same boat here?
 
So did anyone else pre-order at Best Buy? I asked the rep if it was possible to pick up the phone earlier and she said no, that its a hard launch date.

^Oh my goodness...that'd suck! OP, do you have an email address on file with them? If so, you should have gotten an order confirmation - what does that say? Or just call them back and find out the model # of the device that shipped! I would not be able to stand not knowing what phone was going to show up at my door! :)

haha Only 2 pro's for the incredible, are you serious? That was one of the most biased pro/con lists i've ever seen. Plus, i love how your saying the iphone 4g has a higher res display when we dont even know a damn thing about the phone.
 
grrr. three phone calls to verizon today. here's the upshot.

no chance i can move up my NE2. no chance i can get the phone at the 1-yr price. full retail only.

no chance that i can get my corporate discount applied to my line, since i'm on a family plan.

at this point, i asked politely what my ETF would be to get me off the family plan - $110.

So, i asked the CSR, i pay the ETF, then sign up for a 2-yr contract, get the DI for $199 or less, AND get my corporate discount applied to my monthly bill. how is this not a win-win for me and a PITA for verizon?

she didn't have an answer readily available. i think that's probably what i'll wind up doing. the only downside is i have to wait until the 29th when the DI is in actual stores to do it.

I did, and the guy I talked to said usually, if they get the phones in early, they will call the pre orders and let them pick them up. But they won't sell the other ones until launch day.

Yeah i preordered at Bestbuy but i have a strategy...

If we can't pick up the phone by the 28th then I'm just gonna preorder the Inc from VZW and just use my bestbuy giftcard to buy some other techy thing that I'm sure i'll want in the near furture.
 
So I've been trying to pre-order my Incredible off of Verizon's website and it seems to just be going in circles/taking forever. Anyone else having trouble trying to pre-order right now?

Did you see the silicon cover on the VZW website, part # VZW6300SILHGBK, for $17? It looks pretty good and doesn't have the clip of the body glove cover. It is described as "High Gloss Silicon Cover" and was offered in black or red. It did say "out of stock", but probly still waiting for 4/29.

I did. I have a friend that is a manager of one. Originally she said that they could probably sell it as they get them. However, Verizon is pretty serious about this phone. They won't let anyone sell early without serious consequence. I heard something like a $50,000 fine. All of those reports of people maybe selling earlier have to be BS. It that one guy gets his shipped from Verizon he may be the only exception.

i agree if he's that dissapointed in the incredible, why get it? i for one am very impressed with the incredible and cannot wait to get my grubby little paws on it. ;)

More megapixels doesnt mean better picture. Ive seen the pic quality and the vid quality and the 1 year old Omnia HD is better. The video quality is just like the desires. The frame rate is between 26 and 17. Thats terrible, and also the video quality is grainy and pix elated. Did you even see and videos taken with the Incredible? The sound is so horrendous. Im basing my assumption of the iPhone's camera being better off of this.

I'm telling you dont give up, it took me several tries, but I got it to work. If they would do it for me, then they can do it for anyone. 10 months away from NE2 which wouldn't even be two years, it was the 20 months. So I was only in my two year contract for like 9 months and they gave me a NE2.

Also try talking to the manager, and be kind, let him know that you are not happy with your current phone and want to upgrade. If it doesn't work, hang up and try again until finally someone does this.

Yep, my discount only will cover my line. Confirmed at CostCo anyway.

I have. It is. I just thought itd be cool to have an AF one if it was designed right and the price was right. It'd also generate some $$ for the forum.

Ill most likely get some cheapo silicon cover when they come out. I just thought a blue and green af cover with the android guy on the back would be cool.

Sounds like you have already made up your mind...obviously the incredible is a terrible phone compared to the iphone. you should definitely wait for the iphone because it is gonna be the bestest evar (even if noone knows what the specs are)! :rolleyes:
