Do you guys know of any ROMs with messaging access protocol (MAP) support? This is the first time I've been jealous of my wife's Rezound. Our new Edge has the MyFordTouch system and it will read texts messages for you if you have that support. Mine doesn't, her's does.
Just going to drop this and leave... Man of Steel was GREAT!
From what I'm reading, MAP is not natively supported in AOSP. However it appears that the CM team had it working in CM10.0. However when Google updated Android to 4.2.x and changed the Bluetooth stack all around, it broke what they had working. They've been working on it, https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-41, but still don't have it quite working. So it seems that if you want it, you can downgrade to CM10.0 and then be able to use it.
That's what I had read too, but didn't know if anyone knew of something obscure in a different ROM that might have it working. Oh well. I just have a few more months of my phone then I'll upgrade. As much as I love having a Nexus, it's probably my last stock Android phone. Google doesn't add much support of things like this (BLE is another example) in AOSP. HTC and Samsung put a little work into it and get it going.
I'm giving up on JDX ROM. Every time I load it I regret it really quickly. You would think that without all the mods it should be snappier, smoother, and have better battery life...but no. Phone constantly locks up, UI crashes, sluggish performance, sometimes just plain unresponsive for several minutes even when trying to unlock.
Any suggestions? If not I'll go back to Sourcery tonight probably.
I've been sluggish on Sourcery.

Part of me wants to go back to a stock ROM and load that framework that allows me to practically "build" my own ROM by installing custom components.
We'll see - just don't have as much time as I used to for crack flashing.

Morning everyone - check out my new homescreen layout. Something I found on the Tumblr of the guy who made my icon set.

Dear lord! I just escaped the huge storm coming into the District. Just stepped out for a couple block walk and could see the rain approaching. Knew to run home. Only slightly soaked.![]()
