The Last of Us

Don't you just love how things turn out sometimes. Work was slow today so they gave everyone a half day. It just happens The Last of Us was released today, sure beats working.:)

I can't wait to play that game. I rarely buy new games at full price but I think this will be an exception. Been looking forward to it for a long time, and I have a birthday coming up soon, think I'll get it for myself.

It's still very early days but I've got to say awesome. It's similar to the uncharted games just a lot darker and more brutal, so if you liked them you'll love this. One difference early on is that you've got to use more stealth than in uncharted due to not having much ammo, which personally I like as the all guns blazing approach can get a bit old after a while.

I really want to play it as well, but I hope it will be released for PS4, so I can buy it then.

I don't think there's any plans to release a ps4 version as such, but all the ps3 games should be available to download on the ps4 next year so you'll still be able to play it.

I am a hardcore gamer with a pretty massive library who has pretty much given up on gaming. I have a backlog of about 20 games. That being said, I have put in about 8 hours into the Last of Us the last 2 days and I am about 50 percent done.

The Graphics are top notch for a console. Naughty Dog hits it out of the park again. The characters look as real ass possible, a ton of attention to detail for the buildings, backdrops, skyline. The only minor cons is that enemies do not get that much attention for graphics, character movement is a little slugish and the sky itself is stale. That is more for system limitations of the PS3 more than anything.

The story for them being together is pretty well put. The character interaction, lines is some of the better voice acting for any game. There are some pretty decent twist and turns and the epilogue to the game really pulls in you in.

Gameplay for an action adventure game may turn off some. The game has a ton of stealth to it and it's not going to be all guns Max Payne 3 blazing. Gameplay in some areas seems to be a little broken when all you have to do is get the enemies together and throw a bomb or molotov cocktail at them. Perfect for Clickers.

How did you not hear of the game? It's made by Naughty Dog who are arguably one of the best video game makers in the business.

Crash Bandicoot Series, Jak and Daxter Series, Uncharted Series and now The Last of Us.

I never caught myself up to date with Naughty Dog
Wasn't a fan of the gameplay style of Uncharted and Crash & Jak was too early in my life to care about the company that made those games :p

You need to check out the Uncharted Series. Uncharted 2 is one of the best games of all time and Uncharted was outstanding in it's own right. Uncharted 1 was a pretty good game.

Has anyone else played online yet? I have for the first time today and I have to say it's quite good. It did kind of stick me in at the deep end though. You obviously start at level zero but for the first 6 or 7 matches everyone else was at level 40 to 100, just my luck I guess. I almost packed it in but I'm glad I stuck with it as I eventually got paired with a few levels I could compete with. It's just a shame that my kills to deaths ratio took a massive hit in those first matches.
