For those of you that ordered through the website, I was charged the $9 for the overnight shipping. I contacted Verizon by email and explained that I forgot to put the Free overnight shipping code in. The responde from Verizon was that they would check my account and credit the account if there was a charge.

I know this is a little OT, but it does have to do with the Incredible and I thought you all might be able to help . . . . (Actually might not be a bad thread to start for all Android phone transfers).
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'm happy to move my post to another thread, I just couldn't find anything related on the site.

I currently have the Moto Droid and have spent quite a bit of time customizing it. From what I understand, all of my contacts should transfer to the Incredible once I sign up with my existing Google account. I also understand that all of the apps I have paid for, I should be able to re-download for free.
Here's my questions:
1. Are all of my downloaded (free & paid) apps listed somewhere? (I couldn't find anything on my Google account)
2. I've created folders on my homescreens. These folders contain shortcuts to map locations, shortcuts to apps, shortcuts to games, etc. Can I transfer Folders & Shortcuts to the Incredible? (maybe via SD card)
3. What about transferring contact's custom ringtones, alerts, etc?
4. Playlists?
5. Notes? (specifically from ColorNote & Astrid)
6. Bookmarks?
The reason I ask is because I know when my Moto Droid is deactivated, I will not have access to these things.
Worse case scenario, I can write down all of my apps, map addresses, ringtone/alert messages, playlists, notes, bookmarks, etc. but I REALLY don't want to have to go through that and then manually reload everything . . . .
Are there any other items I should consider transferring?
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Yeah much better deal! What's the point of 18% if it's just used toward the 29.99 data plan. It's frickn pointless. I may have to look into this a bit more before I preorder. Thanks

Fine, but let's not pretend that we welcome differing views with open arms if that's the case. Apparently we don't.

No doubt there are members around here that surely don't welcome differing views. I wasn't speaking for all members. Just me personally. I enjoy the different points of views, the comparisons, and the conversations created.

Last night I posted an ebay ad for an incredible, it sold for $1200.00.
It was not my phone and I am not the seller, I just found it amusing.
You have to be a little soft to pay that much just so you can have it first.

I got news everyone. Im going to use my NE2 on the 29th of May. That gives me 30 days to try out the phone and also see how the new iPhone is. Ohh and I have bad grammar cause this is the internet. Not school. I type very fast and dont feel like revising.

Ok I take the HDMI part back cause at the time I was thinking of the Evo and how cool it would be to hook your phone up to your HDTV. Can your further explane the video part? If meant I posted a VGA video than I didnt know I did. Ive seen the 800x480 videos and they are almost the same. They both are pixalated and have a bad frame rate. Also the audio quality is on par with my old Razr. If you have gone to Gizmodo and have read the article on the iPhone they clearly state that the back of the iPhone is either glass or ceramic. The Incredible is confirmed plastic. I nit pic the hell out of what ever my purchase is gonna be. I dont make a lot of money and this will be a big purchase. I suffer greatly from buyer remorse. It sucks honestly. Im just not getting how im being called a troll. I know a troll when I see one. Im a member of N4G ( News for gamers ) and the whole PS3 vs X360 is crazy. That site is filled to the brim with trolls. Then again I know how bad apple fanboys can be.

actually they clearly state that the back of the iphone is plastic...here is the section

"Why the plastic back?
The plastic back is the most obvious of the design choices. The iPad, with its all aluminum back, has seen its Wi-Fi reception radius reduced. The 3G version comes with a large patch on the top, probably big enough to provide with good reception. But the new tiny iPhone doesn't have the luxury of space: It needs to provide as much signal as possible using a very small surface. I'm sure Jon Ive is dying to get rid of the plastic back, and go iPad-style all the way, but the wireless reception is the most important thing in a cellphone. A necessary aesthetical-functional trade-off."

the front is said to be either glass or ceramic though

i turned in my motorola droid the other day and they gave me a loaner phone. i was told that the incredible would be ordered for me today. i called and was told that the guy that does it was already home. why not just tell me...hey, we forgot and/or didn't know about it, sorry.

Serioiusly, pay over $1,000 more to have it 10 days earlier?

How are you people getting your NE2 moved up by 4 months? Mine is in 4 months, and two people I have talked to have refused to move it, telling me it is not possible (that is demonstrably false so long as you are not all lying, which I am pretty sure is the case).

So, how did you do it? I stressed the moving from a dumbphone to a smartphone (although that may not work as I had a smartphone before), and the longtime customer thing. So, tips?

Thanks,
Nkk

EDIT: For clarity's sake, when I said that I assumed that was the case, that referred to you all not lying.

I'd like to know what you are saying also. I understand with this kind of thing there is a degree of luck but if we knew what you were saying to get them to change it that might help.

Also, Nkk, did you ever make that post about li-batteries you said you were?

They're not lying. I personally know someone who got his NE2 moved up more than four months. According to him, the rep said she was able to do it because he'd been a customer for quite a while (almost six years, I think) and his payment history was spotless.

If you're like him, you might just be getting the wrong people. Verizon phone reps are usually really nice and willing to bend over backwards for you.

The Incredible looks oversaturated and blurry. Just look at the play house. I want your opinion on the sound

The sound...sounds like you're a tool.

The 3gs video looked blurry too. And that new 4G looks great too, if you only want to connect to iTunes. According to the "REVIEWERS" that's all that amazing new phone would let them do. No calling, photos, videos, browsing etc...... Looks like an awesome phone.

Oh, it's not done yet? Well listening to you, it's got every phone ever made, and yet to be made beat already. I'm sure there are forums like this one for iPhones. Why don't you just go there and argue with them about how great the Incredible is?

I didn't see the card in their unboxing video. Hoping someone can confirm.

I'm not sure about vzw/htc, but a lot of times stuff sent out to "review" sites isn't in the standard packaging you or I would pick it up from the store in...

that said I really don't think it comes with a card

I don't think the seller or any of the the bidders are serious people. come on they have 0 feedback

WRONG. People here tend to define trolls as "anyone who disagrees, whether they are doing so respectfully or not."

To make it absolutely clear, here is the definition of internet troll as per Wikipedia:

By this definition, some of our top posters here are more "trolls" than Supraman21. I applaud his subjective comparison, even if I don't fully agree. You guys need to relax. Big time.

also from wikipedia

Passive-aggressive : It is a personality trait marked by a pervasive pattern of negative attitudes and passive, usually disavowed resistance in interpersonal or occupational situations.

I didn't say he was a plain troll and even explained it. I have no problem with someone that likes Iphones I have two. when someone keeps coming back listing more negatives he is being passive aggressive and is trolling for more comments.

oh no, he is defiantly a troll... people who don't think he is haven't spent enough time on internet forums...
